We came for dinner to this fish restaurant close to the tourist information. Food came in very large portions and tasted well. Would have loved to give a better rating but beside one person service personnel seemed to be p...ed off and unhappy at work so we did not feel very welcomed. Is this a helpful review? Wir haben die Friesenkate ohne Reservierung besucht und wie erwartet, es war alles belegt. Der Inhaber hat uns dann vorgeschlagen an der Seite Platz zu nehmen und etwas zu trinken. Ziemlich schnell bekamen wir einen ruhigen Tisch und trotz Vollbelegung kam beim Servicepersonal weder Stress noch Hektik auf. Wir bestellten eine Flasche Grauburgunder und als Vorspeise Ostfriesentapas und Krabbencocktail. Beides war superfrisch und superlecker. Beide Portionen waren reichlich und als Vorspeise fast zuviel. Danach kamen Heilbutt mit Bratkartoffeln und Seelachsfilet mit Senfsauce und Salzkartoffeln. Alles sehr frisch und gut zubereitet. Für uns bisher das Highlight der Norddeich Gastronomie. Der Service war super freundlich, humorvoll und aufmerksam. Der Chef des Hauses sehr angenehm und um seine Gäste bemüht. Ein Friesengeist mit "Spruch" rundete das Essen und den Abend ab. Wir empfanden den Abend als so angenehm, daà wir uns spontan dazu entschossen haben, den Silvesterabend auch hier zu verbringen.

Wir waren gestern und Heute im La Primavera essen. Uns hat es ausgezeichnet geschmeckt! Gestern gab es ein Rumpsteak mit Miesmuscheln, Bratkartoffeln und Salat bzw. Goldbarschfilet mit Bratkartoffeln. Das Rumpsteak auf den Punkt Medium gegrillt, die Bratkartoffeln mit Speck und Zwiebeln knusprig gebraten, sehr lecker. Der Goldbarsch in Butter gebraten, spitze!Heute als Vorspeise eine Ostfriesische Krabbensuppe, als Hauptgang eine Fischplatte für 2 Personen. Alles bestens zubereitet und geschmacklich einwandfrei. Einziges Manko; wir haben es nicht geschafft, so reichlich ist die Portion. Das Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses Lokal wärmstens empfehlen.PS: Pizza kann ich zu Hause essen, an der Küste gehört Fisch auf den Teller und der ist Klasse hier!!!

We went back the second day to taste the many varieties of fresh fish. The menu consists mainly of various types of North Atlantic fish. Visited by locals the restaurant accepts only cash and the prices are very reasonable. A sample of the day's recommendation is given. A free aperitiv is given after the meal.

No help with menu, plus she seemed to be annoyed we were asking for help. We ordered the only thing we understood on the menu (snitzel) and both of us didn't think much of it. Came with french fries as we asked for friend potatoes but she didn't understand so we just went with it. Good bread came before meal, 4 little pieces but it was good actually the best part of the meal.

When we were in Norddeich, was the first Restaurant that catch our eyes and Yes! we had the best choice so far... they served big size fishes and big plates and full accordingly to what sea foods/ food you order and it taste Very Good. And the price is Very Affordable. The ambience inside, is just small but there are also a lot tables and chairs outside.We were just so happy and very satisfied here in Zum Backfisch. ...check also my other restaurant reviews nearby...

At Knurrhahn Restaurant, you get a varied menu (mostly fish and seafood), meals are well cooked, they have good beer and wine (by the glass only), service is efficient and friendly, pricing is reasonable.

I was traveling with my husband and a friend and we had just come off the beach by the North Sea and were hungry for lunch. We saw the sign for a plate of fresh Friesland fish for about 9.50 Euros and we each ordered it. It was a plate of about five different types of fish, each cooked in various ways, simply and deliciously. I just put a little lemon on top and devoured every morsel. The fried potatoes that accompanied the fish were also delicious. There was great local beer on tap. This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. Good service, great food, great price.

We came for a few drinks shortly before closing time. Service was very friendly, helpful and attentive.
