Unser Frühlingsausflug in diesem Restaurant mit Biergarten war ein Fiasko.Wir bestellten etwas für den kleinen Hunger, Kochkäse und Flammkuchen.Es gibt nichts, was hier stimmt, weder die Speisenqualität noch die Einrichtung, noch die Bedienung. Hier muà gründlich aufgeräumt und geputzt werden. Wir können vor einem Besuch in diesem Lokal nur warnen!!

We have been a couple of times in this rather old fashioned restaurant and the food was always really good. Nothing hipp or fancy but a solid quality. Recently I took the Beef Steak with onions and potatoes. The onions turned out to be a bit dark but the New York Cut Beefsteak was just awesome. Salad also big and delicious.The service people are also good.....certainly not outstanding but you get Overall more than you pay.

Checking out Michelsstadt we saw this brewery with its inner courtyard and checked out the menu. With local chanterelle as season special we couldn't resist - and were very surprised. An very tasty meal at an unbeatable price less than 15 Euro. Accompanied with locally brewed beer and sitting in the very peaceful and shady, but no fancy inner courtyard we really had a good time.

The picturesque little town of Michelstadt in the Odenwald is remarkably well provided with restaurants, pubs, cafes and bars. We liked the look of the Rathausbraeu. In keeping with the rest of the town it looked like a traditional German pub-restaurant. We sat down at one of the tables outside and were not disappointed. We had an excellent lunch there. The food is traditional German:we had a pork steak and a venison goulash and beer to drink. It was good value and service was good too. We would be happy to go back on a future visit.
