meeting up with friends, and the service was so arrogant .Slow for no reason. I read the reviews and was expecting a good dinner.Too bad that i experienced a bad cooked Franconian Schäufele and plus a mean waitress. what a night. The Schäufele was overcooked and not recommended.

This is a nice spot, very popular with bicycle riders, and quite a lot of activity going on accordingly. You will guaranteed be entertained sitting in the beer garden and watching the coming and going by the banks of the Ludwigskanal.The beer is nice and cold, service was friendly. But the food is disappointing. Perhaps it was due to the late hour, but the salad was a limp, soggy pile of confusion - the cabbage salad still OK, however the greens at an advanced state of being wilted. But all appeared to be swimming in dressing. The camembert that came with it appeared cheapish, from a discount supermarket.

Well, it was not exactly easy to find the place even with a sat nav, but it was well worth it. When we arrived it was already dark, so have not seen much, but the room was excellent, spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed and furnished. We stayed at the room with Burgfreulein written over the bed. It has stunning views which we could enjoy the next morning. The hotel is on a top of a hill and the surrounding area was covered in mist. It was magical. Dinner was really nice as well, the butternutsquash soup, local speciality, was to die for.Many thanks for your wonderful rating.

Cosy place with well made Frankonian food. Friendly staff. We hiked and stayed in the beer garden for a while because of the atmosphere.. Schäufele and Kaiserschmarrn were enjoyable, definitely a recommendation.

The Blaue Traube in Tripadvisor is listed as a restaurant, but it also has rooms available. In my opinion, the price quality ratio of these rooms is very good - very spacious and new (my room had a separate seating area) - good WIFI - nice breakfast - good food in the restaurant (nice garden) If the restaurant is closed (Monday/Tuesday) then there are 2 good further restaurants nearby Not close to the SBahn of Burgthann - about 2 km away- but once there less than 20 minutes and 6 Euros to Nuernberg Hauptbahnhof.The town itself is nice - but not very lively I would recommend this place and would stay here again

We went to this restaurant because of some nice reviews here. unfortunately we did´t try the menu ..... But the experience in this restaurant was incredible and unique..when we entered the venue the owner asked us what we want. He started explaining us that he don´t have a job for us, also he asked us very rude to leave.He turned around and whispered something with ni....gger.Oh maybe I should mention that we´re black colored.

Altdorf is a nice city not so far from Nurnberg, but this restaurant is a "must" is we pass by the A6 autoroute. If you are hungry, you will be not. Staff is really german, not all of them speaks other languages than german. But they'll manage it..Food is simple, local... what I recommend, is "Schaufelle". Served mit "knoedel" and salat.

We have enjoyed consistently good meals and service at Rotes RoÃ. If you want to sample a typically Frankish dish, order the Schäufele - roast pork shoulder, or, more specifically, shoulder blade. The caraway-seasoned meat is slow roasted until it nearly falls from the bone and comes with a beautifully crispy crackling, potato KloÃe (dumplings) and a dark beer sauce. We have never been disappointed by the dish at Rotes RoÃ. Equally good is the pork or veal schnitzel, served with spaetzle, and the salad starter for the meal was surprisingly fresh and crunchy with a light vinaigrette. We especially enjoy this restaurant in the summer when you can sit outside.
