We were visiting the area for the day and pretty much stumbled on this amazing place. Our first impression was the outside area, particularly the beer garden, looked fantastic with perfectly manicured lawns and ample, comfortable seating. We went inside and ordered and said we would be outside. As it was such a fabulous day, the lady behind the bar asked if wanted a table which stayed in the sun for the longest and directed us to a particular table. So, onto the food. We were spoilt for choice and I ordered the Adnams beer battered fish and chips and my wife had the chicken tagliatelle. Let me say that both dishes were fantastic, very big portions and great value for money. It is just a shame that we live too far away to revisit again in the near future, but wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

This is a beautiful pub, offering superb food and fantastic service for a very fair price. Went at the weekend for a birthday meal and all of us were very impressed. Three courses for £25 with a lovely selection of starters. I had pakora and would have that again. We all had a roast for main, loads of veg and the beef was cooked to perfection. Desserts were delicious, with plenty of tasty options. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs, which made the visit all the more enjoyable. Cannot wait to go back! Dear Judge21uk,Thank you very much for your comments. We are very proud of our Sunday roast, using the finest local ingredients and I'm really pleased that you enjoyed it.We look forward to seeing you again soon. All the bestJemima

Richard and Sarah look forward to welcoming you to this recently refurbished public house in the heart of Woodbridge. Find us at the beginning of Woodbridge's vibrant Thoroughfare for a friendly, relaxed visit to this historical building. Open all day, 7
Went for lunch yesterday with my wife & grandson and was told there would be a 25 minute delay for food. We were not in a hurry and were happy to wait. Starters arrived after 25 minutes but had to wait another 30 for our main courses after we finished them. The Hunters Chicken my wife & grandson had were horrible. The chicken was as tough as old boots, the bacon very overcooked and the bbq sauce foull. I mentioned this when paying & was told it was because it contained bourbon. Boubon sauce on a children's meal! Ridiculous. This lovely building has been restored well, but the quality of the food is very poor & will prove its undoing. We will not be going back.

Traditional and independent public house with restaurant and bar. Family and dog friendly. Vegan, vegetarian and free-from friendly. Outdoor seating at front, secluded garden at rear with children's play area. Wood-fired pizzas in the summer months. Voted
Our girls night get together was mid week but I thought Iâd book just in case and it was a good move as they were nearly full. Two of us had the steak night specials, I had bavette cooked rare, my friend had fillet medium/well done. Friend no 3 had confit duck and no 4 had the seared tuna. We all enjoyed our food, all felt it was very good quality and cooked really well. Friend no 4 is gluten intolerant and she was spoiled for choice. The staff are really friendly and thereâs a nice atmosphere in the dining area. The pub Labrador came round towards the end of the evening (as usual we were the last to leave) to see us. A lovely evening.

We went as a family to one of our favourite haunts. Sadly, this time it was a little mixed. Amazing starters of the Vietnamese pork in little gem lettuce, could honestly have eaten that all night and rather feel that we should have left it there. The Jake on the specials board was chosen by three of us and was so dry, plain and disappointing. The fish itself was fine and well cooked, the saffron potatoes neither tasted of saffron or looked like theyâd been cooked with it. I appreciate that itâs an expensive spice, however, it does need to be used if advertised as such. The basil oil was overpowering. The steak was good as was the chicken. The service was very slow and we had to ask for more cutlery after our mains were served and she forgot about some sauce my daughter had asked for. Sorry, as we usually come away from here happy!

Great food. Fab service. Relaxed vibe.Thatâs what The Unruly Pig is all about. And we are multi award winning. Most recently, our Chef has been named as 'Best Pub Restaurant Chef 2019/20' by the Craft Guild of Chefs . Weâre a 16th century Suffolk Inn with
My husband and I visited The Unruly Pig with two of our friends who had recently got married. We went on a Saturday night and was really looking forward to it as the menu looked lovely! We were not disappointed, we shared starters which were delicious and then had a main each. The food was faultless and much better than your average pub grub so I am baffled by some of the negative reviews. Our waitress was lovely too (sadly I have forgotten her name) but she overheard that we were celebrating my friends wedding and arranged for a plate of celebratory ice cream to be given to them which really ended the evening perfectly. We are not from the area sadly but if we ever visit again we will definitely come back to the Unruly Pig! Thanks very much for your visit and very kind comments .We will look forward to your return visit!

British food with a Mediterranean flair offered by our Spanish chef from Zaragoza, working in conjunction with our talented British chef, creating that perfect fusion of ideas to tantalise one's taste buds!
We thought we would spend our anniversary in what looks like a lovely pub. Staff are lovely, so friendly and really can't do enough for you. But the menu is awful so pretentious please remember you are a village pub not a restaurant in London, really wanted a starter but even me the least fussy eater on the planet couldn't pick off this menu. We ordered what I thought was basis easy to cook food. How wrong I was burger was raw in the middle and fish was over cooked and dry. What a waste of money. Swan sort out your menu and then try cooking it better. 5 stars for staff 1 star for foodDear Diyqueen,Thanks for your review, and for complimenting our front of house Team which is sincerely appreciated. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your meal or anniversary celebrations with us. I must confess to being totally and abjectly bemused by your comments regarding the menu. I cannot understand how simple ingredients such as mussels, chicken in a roulade and soup can ever be deemed more significant than they actually are? Neither can I begin to understand the relevance of a restaurant in London and a pub in Suffolk? Does one surmise that aiming for high standards in service and quality of produce is uncalled for in Suffolk, if that is the case then I must firmly disagree. To conclude, I have recently returned from a business trip in South Africa and noticed a billboard outside a coffee shop in Franchoek which stated "Come in and try the worst coffee one reviewer on Trip Advisor had in her life!" perhaps we should do the same with our Menu! I am sorry that our establishment was not for youRegardsGary
