Görlitz is the capital of the district of Görlitz, the easternmost district of Germany. It lies opposite the Polish town of Zgorzelec, which was a part of Görlitz until 1945.

This is a wonderful place that I keep coming back to year after year. The peace, warmth and beautiful surroundings make for a perfect getaway. The ObermÃ¼hle in-house brewery (situated directly above the aesthetic bar) produces an excellent beer, which, when served by local waiters, will give you the sensation on culture.Great food! The kitchen uses mainly local vegetables and meat; I had a talk to the chef-cook and he told me, that they visit many of the producers of these ingredients. After a satisfying meal from the ObermÃ¼hle, you should rent a boat and sail into the forrest and enjoy the peace.The rooms are surprisingly neat, compared to what you often meet outside bigger cities. I enjoyed a room with a view to the lake, where the sound of rushing water was lulling me into rest.I fully recommend the ObermÃ¼hle for eating, drinking and sleeping for anyone!

"Das kenne ich ..."), das Essen schmeckt vorzÃ¼glich (Maronensuppe und GÃ¤nse- bzw. Bergbratwurst) und als GruÃ aus der KÃ¼che gab es vorab ein kÃ¶stliches KarottensÃ¼ppchen zum Trinken ... nur dass das Bieleboh Bier in der groÃen Freiberger Brauerei gebraut wird, war enttÃ¤uschend ...

Das Kochwerk hat mich begeistert! FÃ¼r einen sehr fairen Preis gibt es leckere Tagesgerichte, alles handgemacht, regional, saisonal und in bio-QualitÃ¤t. Sehr coole Leute da drin! Am besten ihr nehmt euch die Zeit und esst im Kochwerk, aber das Essen gibt's auch zum mitnehmen.
