Just in town late in the evening and looking for a place to eat. Dropped in here and they had a large variety of pizzas to choose from. Had to wait as there was many locals before me, both eat in and take out. The pizza, thin crust, was delicious. Will return to try one of the many other choices.

We had noticed Au Concert when going up the River Baise on our hire boat - it is literally yards from the river bank - and resolved to call in there on our return journey. The first pleasant surprise was that overnight mooring outside the restaurant was free (it had cost 10 euros in the village centre). The second surprise was that Au Concert, as its name suggests, has a vigorous live music policy. That evening it was a jazz band who were relaxed but professional and entertaining - and who, because they played in the bar space which takes up the left hand side of this fine old building, did not deafen diners who occupied the room to the right. So we decide to stay for dinner. This was unexceptional. Our starter, a salad featuring tomatoes of various hues grown by a local specialist, looked lovely but did not taste of much. Our main-course steaks were palatable but no more than that. The service was good, and the patron did the rounds ensuring that customers were being well looked after, a pleasing personal touch.This enterprise, which is fairly new, is most commendable - bringing good music to this picturesque and ancient little town. If you're in the area, do drop in. But you may wish simply to have your aperitifs there and to seek dinner somewhere else. It may be, of course, that we were just a bit unlucky with the food and, such is the warm ambience of Au Concert, we may go there again just to make sure!One last word: after we had gone back across the road to our boat, there was a knock on the hull side around ten o'clock. A waitress stood outside with, in her hand, my wife's purse which she had mistakenly left on our table. Now that's good customer care.

Stopped in with two friends for dinner on a Saturday night. Without reservations, the staff was able to accommodate us. Our waitress was very helpful in recommending two local wines. Orders were placed and we enjoyed the simple green salad tossed with vinaigrette and our bottle of wine. Our entrees were a Diavolo pizza and a calzone. full flavor, nice crust and stuffed with toppings. I would recommend reservations on weekend nights.

Cheese ice cream has to be one of the most amazing things I've ever put in my mouth. The taste is sublime and sums up this restaurant. If you ever find yourself in Nerac find this restaurant. You won't regret it.

As many others have said, the absolutely delightful hostess was welcoming and friendly.The location is just outside Vieux Nerac - just a couple minutes walk up the main road. Most definitely worth the detour.A nice change of pace from a culinary standpoint - and genuine galettes for those who've been to Brittany. The salads looked excellent, though all three of us had galettes. They were good, if not brilliant. Alas, we were too full for dessert crepes - but from what we saw come by, and by the reactions we witnessed, I reckon they are very good indeed!Definitely worth a visit when in Nerac.

Really lovely meal. We were in Nerac for a family wedding and this was recommended by the owner of the B&B - not a huge menu but enough choice for the 7 of us to find something we wanted to eat. The food was all absolutely lovely and the wait staff friendly - despite our very poor French!

Following , This guide plus Gault Mialt and others we went here---i mean the worst meal you could imaging. Yes we were in France and the waiter was just fine and all the nice French touches---but OMG---discusting---i mean really junk---i am still wondering why i did not send it all back!

Needs searching if you're in old town Nerac, as it's on the main road to the west of the town centre, but worth the short walk.They have several dining rooms, so capacity not a problem at lunch time when we arrived. Thankfully it brightened up a dank morning and set us up for the afternoon.The entrance dining room had a good smattering of workmen - always a good sign we reckon - enjoying the traditional extended french lunch break, and why not when the lunch is this good?We had a salmon salad starter, followed by pork and lentils (much tastier than it might sound), my partner had the fish main course - excellent. Junior had chicken 'nuggets' with tagliatelle, again, good value.

We were recommended by hotel Henry VI and so pleased they did. The menu is short, but all local. The food is amazing, beautifully cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our experience was made even better by the lovely waitress who was helpful and friendly. Would love to dine here again.
