We have stayed nearby for 7 years 2-3 times a year but had never visited Le Repaire as we didn't know of its existence....however having discovered it this holiday we were not disappointed! The restaurant is in old Vernegues, destroyed by an earthquake in 1909, in the only remaking building and there's a beautiful terrace where you can dine outside. We all had crepes - smothered in chocolate, chantilly etc- and they were gorgeous. We'll definitely return!

We stayed at the domaine and had dinner on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant is very cozy, there is little in terms of decoration, but the setting is nice anyway. You can also watch the kitchen through a window. Service was attentive and excellent, and also very knowledgable about suitable wines. We went for the three course menu for 55 Euros, and excellent value as we also got 3 more intermittent courses on top. We could not have eaten more. The food was absolutely excellent, both in terms of taste and presentation. I especially liked the chocolate creation for dessert and the Angus meat with coffee sabayone. Overall, this place offers excellent value for money.We thank you for your detailed and constructive feedback. We are extremely pleased you have spent a relaxing time with us and you have appreciated our Domaine, our service and all the details we are aiming to provide to our clients. Le comptoir des vins is a great place to have a pre-dinner drink or refreshment after a game of tennis or football. We come here a few times each trip and my young sons now love tapenade - a new development, thanks to le comptoir. The Nutella bruschetta always goes down a treat. The staff are very attentive and kind and my kids feel confident in practicing their (very limited) French by ordering various things! When nothing else is open and P&V seems very empty and dull, the comptoir des vins always delivers and the atmosphere inside and out is welcoming. thank you for your visits. I look forward to welcoming you again

The front of the restaurant is extremely unprepossessing and even inside its cafeâ feel is inescapable. There is a simple 3 course menu for â¬26 (some small supplements for certain dishes) and a decent wine list, supplemented by excellent house wines (Aureto) by the glass or carafe.This is a two person husband and wife team, with the extremely welcoming Meigge in front of house and her talented chef husband, Richard slaving away in the kitchen. All the ingredients are fresh and from the region, and are painstakingly cooked and beautifully presented. However, all this takes time so donât expect fast service. Better go there without any time constraints or with friends to while away the time between courses - but the quality of the food, its presentation and the feeling of a genuine welcome make a visit worthwhile.

I am writing in English so holidaymakers will know of a great place in Mirandol for tasty value meals. If you want a recommendation from locals visit the restaurant and ask them personally as you will find them there throughout the year. Lunch is around 12euros.A daily changing small menu home cooked by Nini and Joe is predominantly Provencale with international influences.Tables outside let you watch the world go by and if it is too hot or too cold the interior allows you to rub shoulders with the regulars.Open lunchtimes through the year and evenings through the summer this is a great venue if you don't want to cook at home but don't want to break the bank.It's the sort of place that makes you want to live in Provence!

As noted the decor is not good but we sat outside with a good view of the Luberon "mountains" - OK the TGV does run close to the back of the restaurant and it can rumble a bit.The food was good and the service was charming and we will definately go back!Merci beaucoup pour votre appréciation et nous ferons encore mieux lors d'une prochaine visite afin de vous faire découvrir de nouveaux produits de la PROVENCE LUBERON .Recevez nos sincères salutations .Cordialement Mr CYRIL BIAU

Due to a water damage at my originally booked hotel, I was moved to the Auberge du Vieux-Port and very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk as the transfer was a very easy process. The room was quietly located facing the back alley, which for my needs worked out just fine as I did not spend too much time and was out an about most of the time. The room although being on smaller side for North America standards offered plenty of space, a very comfortable bed, seating, great bath amenities and best of all - a Nespresso machine - essential for coffee addicts. Breakfast was part of the package and tasteful, it could slightly improve to add a small counter for self serve instead of prepackaged jam, etc. Need to point out the staff was amazingly friendly!

The Tour de France passed by Mallemort between 3 and 6 pm on the day of our visit . Le jardin provided the perfect bookends to our day : a wonderful lunch in the garden, fresh delicious and generous salads, a walk down to watch the race with all the excitement that entailed, followed by happy hour and tapas in vast quantities afterwards . Tapas served promptly and utterly delicious : of particular note the squid and broad beans .

We visited here towards the end of the season and it was still very busy with locals which tends to give you a good idea how good this place is. The setting is a lovely old French Manor House , sympathetically decorated with modern art but retaining its character. We were lucky enough that the weather was still good and could sit outside under the pagoda. The menu is fairly short , which I prefer and consisted of a could of a couple of beef dishes, a fish dish and a pork dish with a veggie option. Being far from veggie , I opted for the beef carpaccio with parmesan Ice cream with steak tartare . My fiancée opted for tomato carpaccio and the entrecôte steak. To finish , we had a peach soup and chocolate fondant. Everything was cooked / prepared to an excellent standard. Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing and the waiters spoke English where required. If we could be very critical , the tartare had a little too much parsley and the chocolate fondant was a little 'over' but did not detract at all from the evening. We would definitely return! The beautiful shady terrace is an excellent location to relax for a delicious meal on a hot day. I had the salmon tartare with goats cheese and it was excellent. The ice-cream dessert is enormous with homemade apricot sauce.The staff were lovely and very attentive and provided everything we could have asked for for the kids. There's a shady playground attached to the car park which is great for a run around after lunch.Definitely be back!
