This time it was a big surprise for my wife's 55 th anniversary. I managed discretely with our 4 children-families to come and surprise mother at "Kromme Elleboog". Reservations were made with my choice of the menu for all of us: 10 adults and 2 grand-children. They had a small children menu, and we had a supreme fish menu with shrimps and brill. As dessert it was the Chef's own super ice-cream ! A fantastic moment in our lifes. Attention: best make reservations.

The food was very good and with had a lot of flavours - family business with husband and wife - very nice reception and relaxed atmosphere - the menus were only in Flemish or French - The lady could not speak english but that did not put any barriers to our enjoyment of the food as the lady was very accommodating

The Chef of this restaurant knows what he is talking about where food is concerned ! Subtile mix of ingredients and flavours, presented with taste and simplicity. Through the meal one travels around the World, a Japanese-style starter of monkfish, tatsiki and black radish; a dish of brill served with a compote of tomato and pesto (very Spanish) and a very French veal served with caramelized onions, chanterelle mushrooms and stunning deep-fried "snow" of potatoes. Dessert being a mix of blueberries (fresh and ice cream) with vanilla and hibiscus. Stunning selection of cheeses.A beautiful journey !Each dish is accompanied by appropriate wines (Austrian, Bulgarian and French).A couple of minor reproaches (very minor in fact): courses 1 & 2 being fish and in a way, sort of similar (although tasting very different). Our meat course was slightly undercooked, so a bit tough ! The pricing of the menu is somehow obscure.But all together, a great experience, good service and cosy atmosphere.

Been here to celebrate our 15th anniversary and it was excellent. We took the menu where You can choose between dishes, a 4 course menu. Very fine dining in this place that is managed by a couple since 25 years (man in the restaurant and woman in the kitchen) and they do it super, as it should be, with love and passion. A bit more expensive to eat here but worth every euro! Also very friendly people. A very nice experience and we will come back.

We went with our family to this children friendly restaurant. Children can play in the garden without danger. The food is good (although the mashed potatos had been forgotten), the service is friendly, but unfortunately much too slow (clearly problems in the kitchen). We had to cancel the dessert for my son (and his family), because he had to go to his work on time. Waiting more than an hour for a simply ice cream is not acceptable.

Very nice restaurant, everything freshly made, they now their job! Very tasteful beef. Friendly and polite people. Shrimp croquettes also delicious. Will visit this place again!

A hidden gem in the middle of Snaaskerke, a real sensation of taste for a very affordable price. The waiter knows his job and the cook is superb! Very nice wines also. You feel very welcome. We enjoyed it very much here, an excellent experience. Will come back here many times more, fine dining guaranteed like it should be.
