This is a perfect place for lunch or dinner, whether you live in the area or passing through. They have a small offering, which means it is all extremely well cooked. The amazing burgers are what we go for with with all the meat locally sourced as well as most of their other ingredients. There is always a veggie option on the menu.Top that off with great service, this is a must.

Always visit when we have friends/family to stay and luckily just opened for the season. Visited for lunch and as good as ever. Beautiful sunny Spring day with food and service to match. Hopefully first of many return visits this year.

We stopped for lunch in Couiza and had an amazing bouef bourguignon with rice for 10 euro each. Very tender, generous in size and totally delicious. It was impossible to eat all of it, but almost distressing it was so melt in the mouth.! Charming lady running the place and great food for a very small town. The boy at at the next table had a huge steak and chips and looked pretty happy. Small and unpretentious

After a fascinating visit to Rennes-le-Chateau we stoped on the way out of the village at L'escondida for lunch. Good choices for all three courses - my steak was cooked perfectly. We shared a Picet of house wine - that was very good. Lunch for two just â¬50.

With family and friends we visited rennes-le-château and looked at the castle, unfortunately it started to rain so we went for lunch. This restaurant is next to the castle, the food was good and the staff was helpful. In half an hour it was sunny again and we finished the desert in the pretty garden. I recommend this restaurant if youâre ever visit rennes-le-château.

Stopped here for lunch after reading reviews. Spotlessly clean and friendly service. We both had small salads followed by crêpe. The salads, although only 4/5 euros were a good size, very fresh and with lots of tasty dressing. Thin light crêpes with local honey. Everything was totally delicious. The bill with a bottle of Normandy cidre was 30 Euros. Wish we were staying nearer to eat here again. Highly recommended.

We visited the restaurant L'Antre Temps and found a beautiful covered terrace with a fantastic seasonal menu, with a great vegetarian choice. Everything was hand made, including the chips, veggie flan and beautiful salad. The staff were attentive and made us feel very welcome. Great value for money and a nice way to spend a lazy lunch.

Smart restaurant set in a stunning courtyard in the heart of the Chateau des Ducs de Joyeuse, with a lovely fresh menu and delicious local wines to choose from, including several Blanquettes from the celebrated neighbouring town of Limoux. We visited in the evening, the restaurant looked very inviting. The meal was average and the service was disappointing. The waiter asked many guests if they were happy with their meal, we were not asked, and he was completely uninterested and unapologetic about the piece of plastic found in my meal. A simple apology would have resulted in a second visit from us and a recommendation to friends......we will not return and will definitely not be recommending this restaurant.
