Doesburg has an old, fascinating inner city with quaint charm, beautiful gavels and cobblestone streets. Less known is that it has a 'shoreline' along the IJssel River where one can amble and enjoy sunshine and nature. Amid the atractive apartments overlooking the river there is the Stadshotel with its terrace on both sides of the boardwalk. It is fresh, new, modern and of high quality and makes for a pleasant sit with protection from the wind and the sun if needed. We had coffee and hot chocolate and a piece of famous Dutch apple pie. It would have been idyllic if the waiting on our table had not been slow and confused and the price had been a little more friendly.We did not enter the restaurant, but enjoyed the terrace for a cup of mid-morning coffee.

It is a small place offering delicious food with friendly service. It is worth stopping by and having something to eat! The restaurant is connected to a bakery that sells delicious breads, pastries and sweets. Good at any time of the day to grab a bite or drink a good tea... The fresh mint tea was fantastic with a tosty with ham and cheese in a brown freshly made bread. Don't miss out!

Mijn dochter en ik hebben heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant van Waterkracht. De 1e gang was verrukkelijke humus (2 varianten), heel mooi geserveerd in een kopje met vers, warm brood. Het hoofdgericht was kip met couscous en groente en na hadden we huisgemaaakte baklava. We hebben genoten en dat voor 9 euro p.p. Wij komen terug!

Samen met een vriendin hier hapje gegeten en heerlijke wijntjes gedronken. Echt super relax zitten in het met smaak en stijlvol ingerichte wijnbarretje. Lekkere kleine kaart en de gastheer had verstand van zaken. wij hebben een hele leuke avond gehad en het is echt een aanwinst voor Zutphen.

Voor het eerst dit restaurant bezocht. 3-gangen menu. Het duurde erg lang voor we enige aandacht van de bediening kregen. De bediening was ook onzeker. Moesten veel navragen. Voorgerecht vitello tonnato mag hier niet zo heten. Gewone mayonaise i.p.v. tonijnmayonaise. Onder de fricandeau veel te natte sla. Ook de kloddertjes mayonaise op de salades zouden beter vervangen kunnen worden door een lekkere dressing. Gevulde champignons, de zalm met (hulde) verse warme groenten, de masterburger waren erg lekker.

We had lunch, tucked away in a small sideroom. Upgraded pub food. In view of the publicity, we expected more. Maybe this is the case with the dinner.

Restaurant "Lekker", Dutch for tasty, is situated in one of a nondescript row of shops opposite the Zutphen railway station. Reaching this spot in the center of town by car is a bit of a challenge for non-natives of Zutphen and parking the car is a further puzzle. It becomes clear that the Zutphen municipality wants to earn serious money from the victims, who want to park the car in Zutphen center; parking in front op the station in beyond dreams of a millionaire. The best you can do is parking behind the block, where restaurant "Lekker" is, at the "Basseroord" for ⬠1.70 per hour. (It was Friday evening, shops were open). But restaurant "Lekker" was a pleasant surprise with their three course dinner. Seating is a bit cramped; tables for two were irritating small. The restaurant has an open kitchen behind a counter; you can watch the preparation of the food by the chef and his assistants. Service of the waitress was friendly and prompt. The food was well presented and indeed tasty. ("Lekker"). My starter, smoked salmon with salad was well prepared (smoked salmon is one of my favorites); the fish of the main course was cooked to perfection and well seasoned; the side dishes of potato and vegetables were ample, the dessert was not spectacular but a good wind-up of the meal. I must say, that restaurant "Lekker" goes along in the price movement upwards, which make Dutch restaurants so expensive compared to other West- and South European countries. Fortunately, we were armed with a discounted Internet voucher, so the total bill (voucher and drinks) made for a satisfactory financial outlay. But It is my opinion, that the "walk-in" prices of "Lekker" are too high for what is offered.

Arriving late friday evening in the Gravenhof Hamshire hotel next doors we really enjoyed our dinner in Brasserie 6. We had ourselves surprised with the menu and it was excellent. The restaurant is in a renovated historical wing of the Gravenhof wit nice pictures of old times in this part of Zutphen.

We had diner here with family 4 persons. It is an easygoing retaurant. We only had a main course which was very good. Like Hamburgers and stakes. Personel is very friendly. Prices are affordable. Our white wine from Germany was very good.

Leuke plek in Doesburg voor een gezellige zit, meet een drankje en hapje. Gemoedelijke koffietafel en een leuke tuin waar je de Hanze huizen van de achterkant ziet. Goede kaart met leuke hapjes en gerechten en aanvullende de dagkaart.Wij hebben gezellig en lekker gegeten en komen zeker terug.
