Balneário Camboriú (Portuguese pronunciation: [bawneˈaɾju kɐ̃boɾiˈu]) is a major beach resort city in the Brazilian southern state of Santa Catarina. The city, with its steep hills dropping down to the sea, is popular amongst South Americans. The main ocean boulevard is called Avenida Atlântica (Atlantic Avenue). Balneário Camboriú is famous for the cable car which (uniquely in the world) links the city's central beach and the beach of Laranjeiras. The city is located 10 km (6.2 mi) south of the city of Itajaí, 96 km (60 mi) south of the city of Joinville, and 80 km (50 mi) north of the state capital, Florianópolis. The city has a population of 124,557 (2014 census office estimate), which swells to over one million in the summer.

Super bem localizado, em frente ao mar, anexo ao Hotel Mercure, em plena Praça Almirante Tamandaré (centro de Balneário Camboriú). Abre para almoço e jantar. Funciona até meia-noite. Gastronomia excelente. Possui estacionamento com manobrista (vallet). Algumas mesas ao ar livre (ambiente externo). Fomos sem reserva, mas na alta temporada costuma ficar lotado. Conforme o movimento servem buffet e aos sábados a feijoada é tradicional ali. Gosto mais de ir a esse restaurante na hora do almoço e saborear carnes ou frutos do mar, mas o maior movimento costuma ser para o jantar. O mignon ao brie que eles fizeram este ano no Balneário Saboroso com risoto de cogumelos estava excelente. Gosto de ir a esse restaurante, com atendimento simpático, cortês, educado. VALE A PENA.

There is only one place to go in Balneario Cambori, and L'asiette is it. Among the expensive deep-fry all you can eat buffet style riff-raff you find L'asiette, quitly located with an ever changing inspiring menu, and dedicated waiters.Once located, we could not be bothered to go anywhere else. Whether you just want a glass of wine, lunch or the full monty, here you will get not only the best quality and service, but at a very reasonable price, I mean, where else in South America do you get fresh great quality home baked bread?. Our waitress Joyce was professional, fun, spoke perfect english, and went out of her way to make our dinner as enjoyable as possible, in which she succeeded with bravour. Excellent place that I discovered in Balneario Camboriu (thanks to TA reviews... that led us to this restaurant). Unique dishes offered, special sides and a manager/owner that works and makes sure that the service is top of the notch.You will read a couple of reviews saying that it is normal to find empty restaurants in B.Camboriu.. This is not what you will find at Palatare Bistro, since the overall dinning experience is great. We will come back, for sure.
