Husband and I went for lunch expecting a good meal which we have enjoyed for years. Totally disapointed! ordered hake and chips with tea, paid over £20, never again.Fish was very small and batter was thick and a bit 'rubbery' in places and chips were not 'quite there' needed a few more minutes.Told the waitress but all she said was that others had been complaining about the same,Iâm sorry to read this. Firstly when did you visit because I havenât heard of any negative feedback regarding or our chips since we started doing them fresh daily ourselves back in June ? When we entered the restaurant mid afternoon, one of our group greeted the staff with a friendly "Ola". This did not appear to go down well with the manager who told the waitress to put our small group in a corner table in an almost empty restaurant. We ordered a starters, small plates and drinks. One of the group has food allergies and asked for a dish without sauce and was told that this was boring! Rather that than ill. We decided to cut our losses and leave after this. Don't get me wrong, the food was good but the attitudes need improvement. Over £100 including tip for a forty minute visit.Thanks for coming to dine with us and great to hear you enjoyed your food. I spoke to the manager working yesterday and he remembers talking with you and thought he'd had a pleasant exchange, it's sounds like his 'boring' was was met as well as your 'ola', maybe they were lost in translation! He asked me to pass on his apologies if you thought there was any underlying current :-)I asked him which table he'd seated you at and it was the large sharing table in the window, many people like this as it has a nice view but as you say, the restaurant was quiet at the time you visited so if you'd asked we'd have happily moved tables for you.Anyway, hope we see you again, when I'm sure you'll be greeted with a smile :-)

We stumbled upon this fish and chip shop and ate in. The food was excellent, huge portions and great value. They also do meal deals which include bread and a drink. The staff were very pleasant and gave us excellent service. The place was very clean and so were the toilets.

With a lifetimeâs background in the catering industry and running a town centre chippy that pre-dates just about every other town centre takeaway in Poulton, itâs hardly surprising that this place has an excellent reputation and a loyal clientele.The owner (Christian) is on first name terms with his regulars and knows what they want before they do. He cut back on things like kebabs a while ago to concentrate mainly on what he has mastered â good old basic fish and chips (though you can sill purchase pies and sausages). He also cut back on the opening hours despite the temptation of later night diners â why serve food to people too ârelaxedâ to know what they are eating?He has achieved a raft of awards along the way and prides himself on selecting the best sustainable produce around.There's small eating in facility upstairs too - and an even smaller one on the ground floor.

Granada Fish Bar is close to the market in the centre of Fleetwood. We really enjoyed our Fish & Chips we had there today. Choose from cod or haddock served with choice of mushy peas, gravy or curry, bread and pot of tea for £7.95. Great food, lovely staff and dining are and good value. Highly recommend.

First time visit here on a recommendation. Good central location and handy for shops nearby, and also theatre visits - The Grand or Winter Gardens. This restaurant is spacious and clean, offers a good menu and has very pleasant friendly staff to serve you. PLUS our Haddock & Chips were delicious too !!We shall be returning soon. Just stumbled across the Corner Chippy as we drove down Beach Road, Cleveleys. Ok, took a little time while the fish were cooked, but chatting to the friendly husband and wife team behind the oven made up for it. Hope you like my recommendation of Wase! We took the meals away and parked up on the prom. My first reaction was that the portions were very large, I would get fed up of them and end up throwing half away!Far from it. These fish and chips were the best I have tasted and I have tried a few chip shops over the years. Every piece was eaten. So the next time we are on the north side of Blackpool and fancy fish and chips, we will be back. Thank you. Thank you for your pleasant review. So glad you managed them all!

Drove up to Cleveleys from Blackpool to eat here, as it had been recommended and we were not disappointed.Lovely greeting as we walked through the door, and very quickly our drinks order was taken. We both ordered a cheese burger with griddled onions, I chose Monterey Jack cheese and hubby chose mature cheddar, both came with dill pickle, lettuce and tomato and mayonnaise, plus tasty thin fries.The burgers are hand pressed and freshly cooked to order, and we both said they were the best tasting burgers we had ever had. We will return when we fill the need for another great tasting burger.

We ordered pensioners small fish and chips, which comes with tea or coffee, a choice of curry, gravy or mushy peas and bread and butter. The chips etc were good but the fish was very disappointing. A tiny amount of not great fish in a lot of batter, albeit very crispy batter( a bit difficult for older people to crunch through, so we left most of it). At £5.45 each we felt a bit ripped of! Other diners full size fish looked fine. Take my advice and buy a full size fish to share. Staff were friendly and the cafe was pleasant and comfortable.

Our normal Fish and Chip eat in establishment in Blackpool, was packed to the rafters 12/10/2019. Decided it was best to go a little off the beaten track, as everywhere decent seemed jam packed; due to the illuminations. Visited this place years ago. Was Ok, wasn't offered the option of the fish being lightly battered. My fish was OK, but husbands was heavily coated. Maybe we should of mentioned it, when ordering. Definitely fresh fish and of decent size. Chips standard, albeit a few eyes in the potatoes. Peas far too dried up. Menu, a bit boring. Could offer more, then again it is just a chippy. Don't get me wrong, I am so fussy. Noticed on departing that from Mon-Friday they do the same as what we got for £6.75 each. As it was a Saturday. During those times bill would of been £13.50 instead of over £18. We normally go to Trip Advisors Number 1 Fish and Chip eat in Blackpool. Kay's in Cleveleys is a decent meal, but for the best try our choice that is cheaper and far better like for like.
