While they cook the food when you are there my meal contained hair. Do not know how it got inside the container but I will not eat here any more. If I was not already late for a meeting I would have brought it back to them. wearing hats is not good enough.

I was at Melt Gelato yesterday evening. The café is very attractive looking. The selection is not bad. It looked good for a light meal or dessert. There are quite a few sandwiches to choose from. The gelato looked really good. I am giving Melt Gelato Café a low mark because of the service. I approached the counter and I was the only customer there when I first got there. The woman behind the counter paid no mind to me at first. She came over and waited on me. I asked her 2 questions and she could not give a clear answer because she did not understand me because she spoke limited English. After she took my order, she proceeds to wait on the customers behind me without even starting my order. Again, she is the only person working at the café so I know that nobody is working on my order. I was not happy that she took my order first and then the people behind me got served first. Their order was easier but first come, first serve.Normally, I do not like to say anything but I was in a bit of a rush and I wanted to make sure she was not going to wait on the whole line before making my sandwich. The sandwich came out. It was pretty good. Nothing that I would go out of my way to get again. If I visit the Natick Mall again. I probably will not go back to the Melt Gelato and Crepe Café. If you are in a hurry, forget this place.

The Ziti and the sauce were OK. The price was right at $5.95. It came with a piece of garlic bread that was good and a small salad with a very nice tasting vinegar dressing. The Ziti was a little mushy and the sauce and cheese were tasty. My friend had the chicken cesear wrap that tasted pretty good, not one of the best but not bad. OK place for an Italian lunch.

Au bon pain is what it is...fine for a quick pit stop...however, the staff need a kick up the you know what...there must have been 6 of them avoiding doing any work whilst the queue got longer...manager, where are you?

Had lunch here today -- first time at this location although I'd been to the old Newton location (closed now) many times. Had a wrap (chicken Cesar) instead of my old standby salad bar, and the makings (lettuce, chicken, croutons) were all very fresh and crisp.

Unfriendly and unwelcoming. No hello, or greeting when I, the only customer in the place, came in and sat down. I was not offered coffee or a menu. After listening for a minute to the two behind the counter complain about quitting, and realizing I wasn't going to be acknowledged, I spoke up and asked for a cheese omelet, home fries and toast. I was acknowledged and when I was about to receive my order, it was obvious I was not going to be offered anything to drink so again, I spoke up and asked for a coffee and a water. The coffee was lukewarm and I never got the water. The home fries were disgusting and lukewarm. I should have been tipped off that there were no cars in the lot and no customers inside. 10 AM on a beautiful Saturday morning and the place was empty. Plenty of other places in Natick with better service and better food than this dump. PASS!
