This Subway is similar to all others except that it is hidden behind a car repair place, which makes it an odd, hidden location off of Covell near the hospital. Probably gets much of its business from hospital workers and visitors, and I often forget it is there when thinking about getting food.

This Subway Shop is Conveniently Located right off of I-80 (Chiles Rd. Exit), with Easy Access and Copious Parking!! (Fill Your Gas Tank Right Next Door). I was in Davis, CA for a Month, this past February. Ate Dinner at this Subway Very Frequently. Consumed both Salads, Sandwiches and Most Every Offering on the Menu!! The Food was ALWAYS Excellent! Service Was Always Prompt. The Amazing Part are the Folks Working there!!! Seems that Most are in some Exotic Form of Graduate School, such as International Agricultural Economics, Forensic Pathology, Search for the Last Prime Number, Rain Forest Management or similar topics....so BOTH the Food and the Conversations Stimulating and Satisfying!! Try it!! You Won't Be Disappointed!!!!

I like the salad bar at this restaurant the best over all their food/pizza. A small salad bar but a lot of great options. A second small bar offers seasoned croutons, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. The luncheon specials during the week are very good value. I prefer the garlic bread over their pizza with the salad bar.

I like the flavors here and options for brown or white rice (cilantro rice fyi...some of my friends are not fans). I particularly like the bowl option with chicken which has a nice grilled flavor. Best lime-chips and guacamole in town. Exceptionally fast-line service for a lunch hour option.

My husband and I went here for hotdogs one evening, and I was really disappointed. After being told what GREAT hotdogs they had here, I was not impressed. The hotdog wasn't even as good as the Brendan Theater in Vacaville (who actually make really good hotdogs). My husband had the chili dog, and he said it was okay, but he wouldn't make a trip back for it.The grossest thing was that the guy that was serving us took our money, and then turned and picked up our food. No gloves, no handwashing - straight from handling money to handling our food.We won't be back.
