We are a family run traditional Italian restaurant in the heart of Monmouth.
Wednesday 16th October 2019. Dinner for 2. We arrived without booking and were surprised to find most tables taken; it's a popular place, and no wonder on the basis of our visit. The atmosphere is warm and friendly as is the service. Decent food too with a feeling that much is home cooked. Reasonable value. All in all a very pleasant night out. Recommended.

Andersens Restaurant is the dining experience of Forest House which is also open to non residents. It offers homemade food including fresh steaks, meat dishes and seafood. All food is cooked to order and served in a relaxed and informal atmosphere by prof
First of all, you definitely need to book for a Saturday night, however, it is well worth it for the treat you will receive!Food is very good with good portions and well presented. The menu has a "fish" bias, however there is plenty of other choices. All I heard all evening were people sounding their appreciations of whatever was being put in from of them!Reasonable selection of wine.Well recommended

Our dough is hand-made from scratch and left to ferment for 3 days producing a light but slightly chewy, yummy, sourdough base. We use the finest 00 flour imported directly from renowned Italian Millers Selezione Casillo, along with Premium grade Olive Oi
Had a delicious lunch, really cool to see that so many of the ingredients being used were locally sourced. We had a pizza, a side salad and the charcuterie board. The pizza dough was epic, lovely balance of flavours, the quality of the tomatoes used in the sauce abd the Somerset mozzarella shone. The charcuterie was exceptionally good. The boar salami was epic. My only tint criticism was the cheese, although tasty didnât fit perfectly with the meats - its only personal taste but I would have rather had some more mozzarella as opposed to the double Gloucester! The coffee was great, the ice cream in the affegato was exceptional. The waitress who served us was attentive and super polite and it was lovely to sit inside/outside in the covered alfresco dining space. We had a wonderful late lunch and would definitely return.

Mythos Meze Bar- isn't only about food, our spirit is the traditional Greek way of life. Come and share our passion for authentic, innovative dishes and fine wines, served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere
Mythos is like football, game of two halves!! The downstairs bar area is not very inviting and on entering we almost turned around and walked out. However we were immediately greeted by the friendly waitress and taken upstairs to the dining area which is very attractive and with a Greek flavour atmospheric. The menu is fairly extensive with ample choice and reasonable prices. The food that we had tasted very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening in this pleasant restaurant and may well return in the future.

A casual Dining experience serving up good quality fresh ingredients, and catering for all. We pride ourselves on efficiency, and the sourcing of fresh ingredients. Our BBQ Pork ribs are a must try.
Overall this does not seem like a "bad" restaurant. However, unfortunately, I ordered a chicken dish and the chicken was off. Tasted foul and had a funny smell. For me, no matter the size, type or quality of a restaurant, the chef should be able to tell if a chicken breast is off before serving a food which can potentially make you very ill. To me this clearly shows the chicken is far from fresh, probably frozen and not kept correctly. It was replaced and a drink knocked off the bill (should have been the whole dish!!). Unfortunately this is not something which can be forgiven and I will not be returning or recommending.Hi adamk823.Firstly our sincere apologies with regards to your meal in the restaurant. I would like to assure you that after inspection, the chicken you were served was not "off" but it was not the quality we normally serve here and we have already sent the entire batch of produce back to the supplier. We shall not be using them again. Please rest assured that we have already changed supplier and this is the first and last time anything like this will happen as we normally have strict checking procedures in the restaurant for quality and all our produce is fresh. If you would like to email me at thepepp[email protected] so we can discuss further.Thank youNick

Had lunch with my wife and 2 friends on my first visit yesterday. The ambiance is great, the food outstanding and we enjoyed really good service. Quality ingredients and ample quantities in our starters, main courses and desserts were served to all 4 of us. We most definitely will return and highly recommend this lovely riverside restaurant. A particular thank you to Jessica in serving us.Thank you for your great review, high rating and recommending us. We are very proud of our team and appreciate your compliments to our lovely Jessica. Looking forward to welcoming you again soon!

Parva Farmhouse is an intimate restaurant with accommodation open to residents and non-residents. Can cater for all food requirements.
I stumbled on this place while looking for a stop-over on our way to Swansea. What a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is small and atmospheric without being cramped. The menu is limited, and rightly so.I had a duck faggot starter and pork loin main course. My wife had fish and fish - all cooked to perfection. Weâre both getting old and truculent these days and if we could find fault we would(sadly!). But, basically, it was faultless. We missed out on the cocktails but the small wine list was great. The attention to detail for the food and service was second to none and weâd go back in the blink of an eye.

Lovely experience in the middle of nowhere. Initial wafer snack delivered massively more taste than an identical looking offering from Restaurant Gordon Ramsay later in the week. Other outstanding taste sensations from fermented carrot, black pudding, heritage tomatoes, dexter beef. Great job.
