Grundstein is a cozy restaurant and offers hearty Swiss food. They also have pasta and different kind of salads on the menu. I went or liver and blood sausage with Rösti, my wife had a salad bowl. We were very happy with the food and pleasantly surprised by the friendly and efficient service. Value for money is very good.

Made very welcome especially by our waitress called Chili. Courteous staff, lovely surroundings and atmosphere, good menu with excellent Pizza's the best we have ever had. Went back a 2nd time everything was the same. Worth a visit and will definitely recommend to friends and family. Our host in Zurich has heard this restaurant is very good and we can definitely confirm that it is. Thank you.

Our Air BnB hostess recommended this local restaurant for our last night. These owners know how to run a good restaurant. The welcome was warm, friendly, welcoming and we were immediately made to feel at home. We were lucky to get a seat as there is obviously a lot of return custom and one should book . The food was made from quality ingredients, was excellently cooked, and pleasantly presented. The owners have a hands-on presence and Madam was around to all the tables as well as keeping an eye on the operation as a whole.The service was exceptional in that our waiter who was charming, witty, friendly, and comfortably attentive, looked after us and kept us engaged. We had a lovely final night in Switzerland.Just one important caution. Switzerland is outrageously expensive. Make sure that you know the price before ordering anything in the country.

This restaurant is part of the hotel Sedartis, walking distance from Thalwil train station. Each Friday they offer a three menu evening dinner with a starter, salmon or beef tartar and chips and a dessert. Very nice lake view.All very nicely presented and tasty.They also offer Sunday roast à discretion for lunch. Highly recommended.Dear Lara8800Thank you for your valuable feed-back. Breathtaking lake views from the dining area in a quiet, relaxed and grown-up atmosphere. Friendly service. Prices reflect the quality location but not the food which was slightly disappointing and rather average for the price paid. Rebstock is a nice Restaurant in the Center of Tahlwil. The staff was very friendly, Service fast and very goos. Rebstock`s speciality is chicken, however, we had choosen typical traditional "Zürcher Kalbsgeschnetzeltes with Rösti." The Food was excellently cooked and tasted very good. Wine by the glass in good Quality was aslo available. I will gladly come back to Rebstock if I am near Thalwil.

Rico's used to be Petermanns Kunststube, excellent, famous and very good.Rico Zandonella has taken over and has since given this restaurant a whole new look and cuisine.My last three visits where unbeliefable.Sevice, athmosphere and cuisine absolutly great, easy and perfect. Rico has found his grounds, is omni present, smiling, laughing and hard working without one lingle complaint. The interior was done by the famous interior desingner Carlo Rampazzi. He has created a reflection of Ricos character, colourful, happy and inspired. Sitting in the restaurant, at any table, one can detect many different decorative objects, well chosen and well placed. The waiting crew is soberly dressed in black with coloured sniekers. They are all exceptionally friendly and smiling, giving you a warm and welcome feeling. The menu is seasonal, surprising and with a great sence of logic and harmony. One can choose between as many courses to its likings. Any meal starts with incredible amuse bouches to go over into wonderful creations beutifully presented on colourful plates and dishes. What meets the eye is as delicious as it is beautiful. Rico has a completly new approach to presentation. We loved the changing selection of fine china, enhancing the food it contained. Everything is done with passion, from the first amuse bouche to the last friandise. We loved our visits and shall go back as often as we can.

Treated unexpectedly to a dinner at this venue I didn't know even existed near my home, I was amazed to realise how close this great Zurich dining experience is to my town as indeed it is to the city!. It would be under 20 > 25 minutes (depending on traffic) from Zurich so no problem getting there, perched near the ridge top as it is , awaiting your pleasure. At this time of the year outdoors is a hugely attractive draw--either taking advantage of their giant Linden tree's afternoon shelter or under their elegant giant umbrellas..& further, the tables as are generously spaced to minimise the treachery of outdoor smokers. Inside is an unremarkable but entirely comfortable dining room....whose greatest claim to fame is of course more of that stunning view of Lake Zurich!I ordered a Swiss filet beefsteak which was perfectly cooked to order with a an excellent Roesti as my choice of accompaniment. I took a advantage of a well -stocked salad bar nearby to get my greens. Sadly the Sauce Béarnaise was below par..mostly warmed cream do you mind, but it tasted 'ok' (they love cream here) . My hosts did as well with the (mostly) able kitchen delivering easily anticipated Swiss specialities for them too. The noodles with chanterelles was looking more like cream noodle soup! But I liked the helpful advice that resulted in a fair-priced Spanish red being chosen, as I did the effort always to please & noted that the few dips in culinary excellence were balanced by this friendly professionalism. In all, thoroughly recommended.

We have not been at Sihlhalde for many years and we were very positively surprised. The food was impeccable, so was the service. The location is a little bit tired and I think a soft renovation might improve the experience.The shuffle is world class!!!
