Situated just over the river Spree from Friedrichshagen S-bahn, this quaint bar/restaurant sits on a square floating pontoon about 50 meters from the shore and looking like a cross between a Swiss chalet and an American wild west log cabin. To reach it from the town you can if you wish, walk under the river, through a pedestrian tunnel, along the river bank and onto a jetty where you press a button to attract the attention of the proprietor. He then sends an equally square outboard driven 'thingy' which is equipped with saggy rope rails for your safety and a couple of loose deck chairs and tables for your comfort. Alternatively you can stand. The bar itself is quaint with shed loads of atmosphere. English is spoken, so communication is not a problem. We only had time for a drink, so I cannot comment on the food. I do understand however, that it is pretty good and I must say that on my next trip to Berlin, I am very tempted to make the effort to go back and sample the cuisine. Fish is their speciality.

Arrived without a reservation and was given a table right away. The first ouzo arrived before I took my jacket off and kept on coming every time our glasses were empty. Food was delicious but the service was exceptional. Even though the place was packed out there was always an attentive waiter available. Fantastic

A small family restaurant with 5 table and 18 seatplaces. With the nice and warm weather we have also 5 table outside.only cash

Loved it and the staff is very friendly. I really appreciate finding some food from the North like risotto and ravioli, since in most Italian restaurants abroad you find mostly food from the South.I'll be back!PS: wonderful tiramisù

I just visited here for the third time and not disappointed. It was Sunday so fairly quiet but I ordered the Pork Knuckle with sauerkraut potatoes and horse radish and man it was good. Huge portion with delicious flavours from each ingredient complimenting one another. â¬13.80 and I couldnât finish it. 2 beers to help it go down at â¬4.10 each.friendly English speaking staff as well. Fantastic value in an atmospheric setting, varied menu with a great selection of drinks. Not easy to find but worth searching out, itâs great!

Angelockt vom ungarischen Essen und den teilweise guten Bewertungen in diesem Jahr wollten wir es versuchen. Das überbackene Schnitzel mit saure Sahne und viel Knoblauch hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Schweinshaxe allerdings war lapprig und relativ geschmacklos. Man musste sehr viel nach salzen oder mit der scharfen ungarischen Paprikasauce würzen. Der Hammer war allerdings die beiliegende Wurst welche schon sehr vergammelt gerochen hat. Untermalt wurde das ganze von gestressten Angestellten.Hierher kommen wir nicht wieder!

Having been here before, we were familiar with the busy and slightly noisy place and didnât mind the vivid atmosphere. While the food was well prepared, delicious and nicely arranged, the service was obviously overwhelmed. Wrong dishes delivered (however replaced without any discussion) and while we were still busy with entrees, they came already with the main course and squeezed the plates on our anyhow crowded, small table. Very unpleasant experience and not at the level we had experienced before.

A nice place next to Horse riding centre, outside spaces very quite and typical local dishes, local fresh picked mashroom were great
