The owners of this restaurant go out of their way to make you feel a special guest. Food was very good. The restaurant lies at the edge of a small village near to the Belgium border. I can definitely recommend having dinner here. I understood when the weather is nice the terrace is soon full, so reservations may be necessary.

Had a great meal last night for 7 of us. We all ate something different for main course, the cheese croquette for a starter was very popular and delicious Certainly will visit again on a future visit.Only minor problem, but a issue across Holland and not specific to this fine establishment is the use of credit cards! But thankfully a cash point very close by!

Was here this week with a group of 5 persons. It is a small restaurant with not too many tables but with good weather one can eat in the private garden terrace. The food is outstanding better than we have been eating in many restaurants recently! The fish and meat dishes were excellent and fresh and also the starters and deserts were absolutely fantastic. All 5 agreed on this so it must be true.Service is very attentive and friendly so no problems there either and the price / quality is also good. Nice wines etc.We definately will come back here as we enjoyed the dinner very much!

People can use a buffet to get their raw meat and fish to grill at the table. Quality of the food is average. The salad was somewhat soggy already and the steak has obviously been there, judging the level of stains from being exposed to open air. What would one expect if you pick this type of restaurant? I can understand that this is something that is virtually unavoidable, unless you would present each table a dish up front, that serves the amount of people that was reserved for.But that would be a different business model and the margins would be different, and how would you serve people that just walk in. So, I can understand where this comes from, but I think it seriously impacts the quality of the experience, as the atmosphere of the restaurant is actually pretty nice.One thing that does need attention is the air extraction, that doesn't seem to work at all. We were there for not even 10 mins and there was this thick warm, blue-ish smog building up, while there were barely three tables being used at that stage.The kids enjoyed it, we had a reasonable meal and enjoyed ourselves, but there is room for some improvement.

It's always nice to have a good restaurant in your own neighbourhood where you can have good food and where they change the menu often enough to keep you interested in trying other dishes. Starters and main courses are a bit pricy though. The high tea is also something I can recommend and that's not expensive at all. The staff is very friendly.

La Cucina Italian Restaurant in Hoogerheide Netherlands close to the Belgium border was a great surprise. The service was very friendly, the open kitchen concept behind a glass wall was unique and the food was of course delicious. Everyone in our party ordered different selections of meals from seafood pasta, lasagna, ossobuco to steak dinner for two persons which I shared called Costata di manzo alla brace. No complaints from anyone. Even the antipasto dishes were excellent. For dessert I tried something light instead of the traditional Tiramisu. I selected Sgroppino, Citroensorbetijs met Prosecco en wodka - translation, Lemon sorbet with Prosecco and Vodka. That was refreshing!This is a great restaurant for couples or small parties.

We took my mother-in-law for a birthday treat and the meal was enjoyed by us all.Would suggest a bit more dressing on the salads and the *cheddar* cheese not good enough for the Cheese board.Overall all a very good meal served by a friendly but not overpowering waiter and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We got a feeling that our waiter forgot about us initially. At first before our order was taken, and then later on, after we finished our starter, the same thing happened. The restaurant was pretty full, but you would expect that the staffing is geared to deal with that. After we reminded the staff about the main course, it took another 30 mins. We had a good time nevertheless, but to really judge this restaurant it deserves another visit. The food was tasty, so I would recommend trying it.
