The restaurant is quite small and offers an intimate dining experience. The décor is modern and a little quirky. The range and quality of food on offer is adequate and the quality is really very good. Service is unobtrusive and staff have a good knowledge of each dish and its ingredients. Service was also prompt.The range of wines was good and very well matched to the menu. I was in a group of 10 and did not see the bill so cannot comment on cost

This restaurant provided a catered dinner for over 100 people. The various courses were excellent including a salad with fish filets, tenderloin beef with roasted potatoes, dessert and many other tasty edibles plus various wines starting with Posecco and ending with an apertif. Best meal we had in Hannover!

I've been there while I was with my company at Hannover Messe.One of my german colleague has been there the day before and said it was good. I've been to some italian restaurant abroad and I've been lucky.But any Italian who comes to "Il mio Sogno" will get upset even before going inside. The signboard is enough to understand how tawdry is this place.When you go inside things get a little better but i'm really sorry, it's not enough to have some italian furniture and stuff to create an italian atmosphere.The staff is helpful but rude and shout at the customers like they're all drunk.We took a Nero D'Avola bottle which was low quality but decent and not expensive so it's ok, but even if the restaurant wasn't full they didn't have enough glasses and mine was covered with dust.To reduce the risk I ordered a pizza with crudo ham and rocket salad. The pizza wasn't awful but far far away from italian pizza and very similar to frozen pizza you buy at supermarket.One of my colleague ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce and basil and i have to say that the sauce was good but spaghetti were probably cooked for half an hour.I didn't order any dessert but I saw the tiramisù and it looked very good.Good thing that they had a decent choice of decent grappa.To conclude I have to say that 1 star is probably to cruel, but as Italian I was very upset about everyhing and I find upsetting also that a lot of german people found it 5 star... it's a scandal.Please German people trust me, this is not the right place if you like italian atmosphere and food.

The setting is nice. They are friendly. German efficiency in attention and service. Not cheap but for downtown acceptable. However, the beef is terrible. My Ribeye was chewy (I requested medium rare) and not tasty at all. Needs a steak sauce. Like deep frozen walking dead. No idea why people review this place among the Hanoverâs best.

We decided to try something different from German beer house and steaks, and found this restaurant with good reviews. It turns out to be actually quite good. The entrance is already unique with the blue bottle displays next to the bar. The menu has a good selection of salad, meats, and desserts. The main course comes with a free choice of salad bar. We had the platters for two which had the lamb chops, beef slices, beef patty, skewers of chicken and pork chops. The wine selection is also good. The highlight was the live music. Just a note that the male toilet was almost like a disco with the lights and music. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience and a hidden gem in Hannover.

Went here for a business dinner. The atmosphere was great. Other tables also were full of business groups so if I visited just with my husband, donât think this would be my top romantic choice despite the beautiful location in the lake. The food was good and well presented. The portions were actually a lot larger than I was expecting. Order the 1/2 size if you donât like huge meals. The 1/2 size is still the same size serving at a regular restaurant. I canât imagine how big the full size would have been. Almost everyone at the table ordered 1/2 sizes as we all had starters and every dish was just as generous.

Average food, average service and nothing extraordinary. In the beginning I was impressed that you could pick the ingredients of your dish and will be cooked for you but the end result was not really what I had hoped for. Took too long and by that time we had to assemble upstairs for the artistic show. had only couple of bites and at the end left hungry!!

We booked into Roy's for their set-menu NYE event, which was a reasonable price and a good choice of courses. Received a very warm welcome upon arrival and the service was exemplary. Really enjoyed the food and a lovely laid-back atmosphere. Would have no hesitation in recommending for a future visit

Became a regular when in town... I appreciate the consistent high quality of the food, especially the meat. They offer different cuts and, if you wish, customized weight. Always something different on the menu to try. Shout out to Conrad and Melissa: really friendly and professional service(!)- yet casual atmosphere with a mixed business/leisure/visiting mostly local crowd. Modern and inviting ambiance. Learned to call ahead and make a reservation.
