After a little hiccough with online booking the restaurant was able to confirm our booking by email. Good start. Old world and very pleasant linen tablecloth environment. Waiters enthusiastic, welcoming. No English but tried hard, with our little Spanish we got through and were assisted by the manager who was fluent in English. We were eager for a break from Mexican. We got it and it was so awful I'll head back to the tacos. First course, partner went for beef tongue. It was an OK dish, tongue cooked blandly covered with white vinegrette served with uninspired salad, with over-vinegared slices of pickled cucumber. Bit disappointing. I ordered the combined pate and terrine platter. This was served with the same awful accompaniments, the terrines were good, the pate worrisomely discoloured on the outside and this grey oxidation extended a good half inch into the pate all round. This is not on!! The home made French bread that accompanied was excellent. For mains we ordered the "fresh" fish. There's only one thing you can do with fish and that is overcook it. This was inedible, cooked to death, tasteless squishy blotting paper sunk in an oily sauce. The meuniere sauce had split and unbalanced with no taste of lemon. Fish was accompanied by honeyed to death soggy carrots. The beans and papas were OK. Needless to say, three bites each was all we could handle. The chef can't cook, not restaurant standard. Everyone was polite, manager sent complimentary drinks. Think he guessed all was not so good. Will never be back, a restaurant is about the food. Our score 13 out of 100.Hello Yolanda :We are deeply sorry that you had a bad experience and I can assure you, your comments have been addressed so that this does not happen again. I must say however that I was surprised by your comment on the carrots. Some of our guests and friends dine with us just to get a taste of them and some would die to have the recipe as they have tried but never equaled to match the way we prepare them. Same goes for the fish and our Meunière sauce. Praises don't just come from local guests but from many visiting us from abroad, including France. I guess to each his own but we really do hope you provide us opportunity to serve you again.Best Regards

The writing was on the wall - the moment we sat down...this was labeled as "Spanish restaurant"...first thing they offered was an assortment/menu of Gin and tonics???, where is the Rioja wine. I asked for a cold bottle of Albarino...the waiter looked puzzle and immediately said "we do not have it"...I looked at the wine list and right on the top line is Rias Baixas Albarino...they had it on the menu but no wine, we ordered a french wine that it was corked, tried another choice and they could not find it...so my friends and I decided to leave the table. I must say the maitre D' was very kind when I asked him to get us a taxi. Too bad I was in the mood for Spanish wine and food.We are so sorry your experience with us was so bad, We are working hard to improve this details, In your visit the Manager was not there and the waiter was new. We are terrible sorry for this disaster. If you can give us another chance we will gladly invite you the dinner and try our really experience. This used to be a great place about 10 or 15 years ago. Recently the place is totally old and the cousine is really italian average to low average, and very expensive.Honestly if you are looking for an Italian restaurant that exceed your expectations, you can visit any other but this one.Is a restaurant that has more fame that real good flavor. Is really sad to see a Restaurant coming from a high level to thisEx. One Small Salad and a simple pasta with 2 drinks can get up to 850 pesos ( 50 dolars), average poor taste, small portions... service badWe thank you for your comment, but we absolutely don't agree with you.Our clients think we are one the best restaurants in Guadalajara particulary with italian food, our plates are constantly renowed using the best freshest ingredients using the best as well over 15 years, you can try other other restaurants in the metropolian area of Guadalajara there are 18,000. Please do us a favor and dont come back, since we have seen your commments and 70 % of the time are negative.90% of the comments we are get are beneficial ti the restaurant.Regards Massimo Pampaloni.

This is a fine Italian dining establishment located in a leafy area of Zapopan. Nice neighborhood around. They have valet service. Went with friends and they have a good wine collection. The bread served was fresh and smelled good. Friends ordered Lasagna and Seafood pasta. Both were big portions and were fresh and tasted good. Ambiance is nice with good seating and they have a covered veranda too. Saw a lot of families on a Sunday afternoon.
