Nach dem Umzug von Mümling-Grumbach nach Bad König auch weiterhin eine absolute Empfehlung. Erfreulich für uns hat sich an der konstant sehr guten Qualität des Mittagstisches wenig geändert. Anstelle eines bestimmten Gerichts hat man jetzt einen Monat lang die Auswahl zwischen mehreren Gerichten. Sehr gefreut habe ich mich über die (vegane?) Linsenbolognese, welche auch bei uns Zuhause ab und zu auf den Teller kommt. Die Nudeln waren konsequent "al dente". Wer es nicht ganz so Bissfest mag, der sollte das vorher angeben. Ich bin mir ganz sicher dass diesem Wunsch entsprochen wird. Auch die Tagesempfehlung ist weiterhin einen Blick wert und ist meistens unsere Wahl.Wir freuen uns schon auf den Sommer und den AuÃenbereich der jetzt nicht mehr direkt an der BundesstraÃe liegt und deutlich mehr Essen in Ruhe verspricht :-)Leider haben wir nach dem Umzug einen weiteren Weg zu Fahren. Nur das Essen zum Mitnehmen wird wohl aufgrund des längeren Weges etwas nachlassen. Aber der Weg lohnt sich für uns allemal und wir werden auch weiterhin regelmäÃig dort einkehren.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of German food. I really enjoyed the meal I had and the atmosphere it was served in. The staff was incredibly friendly and I immediatly felt like home. A really nice teracce is at your service!Definitly a recommendation for everybody who's visiting the region!

Nice family style restaurant off the beaten track nearby Bad Koenig. Good german and croatic food at bery good pricing. Fast kitchen and excelent service !

Die Alte Scheune in Bad König befindet sich in der Altstadt in unmittelbarer Nähe der Freilichtbühne. Im Sommer ist ein Besuch des malerischen Biergartens ein MuÃ, eingezeunt mit einem alten Holzgartenzaun , und alter Baumbestand schaffen eine wunderschöne Atmosphäre. Das Lokal selbst ist sehr gemütlich und spezialisiert auf Flammkuchen, 31 verschiedene Sorten von herzhaft , pikant bis süÃ, lassen keinen Wunsch offen. Auch die Salate und Suppen sind zu empfehlen. Ein schönes Lokal in dem man gerne länger verweilt. Ab und zu werden Themenabende angeboten, Funzelabend, Raclette oder auch Live Musik, Reservierung ist dann empfehlenswert.

We dropped by without a reservation but there was no problem getting a table. The waitress was welcoming and provided good service. The food was good but not exceptional - my first choice was not available that evening. The Grill-Teller proved to be a very large portion which my companion couldn't finish so there was no room left for dessert. The restaurant is in a pretty location - will need to come back to try the afternoon coffee and cake!

Cosy typical German restaurant. Nice food, reasonably priced and very friendly service. The menu has some typical Odenwald dishes. Portions are large.They have also have children menu's (approx. eur 6) and give crayons to draw. They have a monthly agenda with special grillbuffet in Beergarden, Oktoberfest, Beer & Dine etc. Check out their website. The terrace has a nice view on the palace. Many shops around.

Sehr gemütliche Athmosphäre mit schönen Spielplatz für Kinder und liebevoll gestalteten Ambiente. Essen ist lecker und die verschiedenen Aktionen geben dem ganzen immer wieder was besonderes.

Nice restaurant on the first floor with a view over the river Mümling. Michel's serves regional cuisine, including Schnitzel and game. The food was nice and the service attentive.

The picturesque little town of Michelstadt in the Odenwald is remarkably well provided with restaurants, pubs, cafes and bars. We liked the look of the Rathausbraeu. In keeping with the rest of the town it looked like a traditional German pub-restaurant. We sat down at one of the tables outside and were not disappointed. We had an excellent lunch there. The food is traditional German:we had a pork steak and a venison goulash and beer to drink. It was good value and service was good too. We would be happy to go back on a future visit.
