Things to do in Arenas de Cabrales
We stopped here after walking the ruta Del Cares - were a bit worried as its right in the heart of the tourist part but my son was beyond starving ! It was excellent value 10⬠per head for 3 course set menu including wine. The waitress was helpful and there was enough choice for us being 2 meat eaters 2 non. Well cooked and delicious. Best value meal we had this holiday !

Aceptable. Por 5⬠más tienes unas opciones mucho mejores

Cosy bar with a quiet atmosphere where you can enjoy tapas, toasted open sandwiches, salads, and something different (4 options of Mexican food). We've good a good selection of wine and beer. There's Asturian cider. Visit us and enjoy our food or a drink
This place was closed for most of the days we were in town bur when open it was lively with inside and outside seating. Good value tapas style food but cash only. Some families were ordering large mains and sharing them which seemed a good idea given the portion sizes.Hi DMH99,Thanks for visiting El Raitán. We're sorry to hear you didn't coincide with our opening hours, but we were open. We only close in January, February, and sometimes March (depending on when Easter falls). We're open the rest of the year with the following opening hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: 19:00.Saturday and Sunday: 12:00.Tuesday: Closed. In August, we open at 12:00 every day of the week. You can find our opening hours on a sign next to the entrance. If there are changes due to bank holidays or other specific situations, we inform about them with an additional sign on the door and on our Facebook page.On the other hand, we DO accept card payments since the first day we opened. Not sure why you got the impression we didn't. :(We'd love to see you at El Raitán if you ever visit Cabrales again!!!!

Blown away by the fact that the restaurant was super busy (a good sign) and that the owner offered to give us the first available table and call us when ready. Which she did, 10 minutes later. And then the food was uniformly good but the octopus a la parrilla, out of this world. Served on buttery mashed potatoes, the octopus was well seasoned, tender and had the perfect grilled taste. This dish became the benchmark by which we evaluated every octopus dish after that.

We are located in the pedestrian area of El Castaneu, in the center of Arenas de Cabrales, the heart of Picos de Europa. We offer a wide variety of dishes, and our speciality is the Asturian cousine: corn chapati, white bean stew (fabada), tender goat and
Ate in here, good local food as the other reviewers say.Returned multiple times. Also found they were happy to do their best so we could watch the football. Hardworking staff.Good selection of beers.Overall my favourite bar in the town.
