we saw this place on the way up to el teide and dropped in on the way back. you've seen the pictures. the interior does give you an impression but you'd be wrong. the weather was good enough for us to sit outside anyway.we had some starters and for mains it was sole and carne fiesta (marinated pork). everything was very good. obviously a few drinks too. this place is cheap as chips. at sea level we'd been paying 50 euro for this type of grub. aguamansa wanted 30. yes 30 euro. try getting all that for just over 20 quid in the u.k. no chance! we even had some sunshine thrown in as well.

Haydee has moved up the road, Mama Nena has been created by the Suarez. To call it "son of Haydee" is doing it a disservice. It stands on it's own.Four of us shared the dishes:Crispy Crab Bao with Yuzu Mayo. 2 between four of us. Managed to keep us all quiet (with maybe one exception!). Delicious.Salad of Crispy Prawns and red fruit vinaigrette. My oh my! Lovely.Tuna Tartar with gooseberry ponzu. Magnificent blend of a variety of different tastes which possibly shouldn't work but does.Meatballs over Udon noodles with teriyaki sauce. OMG - the taste of the noodles! Meatballs good too!!Pork Rib cooked at low temperature with strawberry hoisin - the previous dishes were excellent - so was this! Again, another wonderful blend of unexpected tastes. Which worked very well!And then came the Postres! Well this was seething else! Chocolate Foam, cream of galletta maria with date ice cream. The taste literally did explode in your mouth!Electric Lemon Pie - the best lemon pie I have ever tasted!Banana ceviche with tiger milk ice cream and rocoto. Can't really comment as I was unable to prise a taste! Suffice it to say there were many satisfied grunts being made!Crunchy vanilla strudel with kaffir lime ice cream and curry. This dish probably defines the whole meal, a blend of different tastes which probably shouldn't be mixed together but they work spectacularly well.2 bottles of Balancies White and two bottles of water. Much Pan and Mantiquilla. â¬146.A wonderful meal and thoroughly recommended.Thank you so much for such a kind review! We have had lunch here twice: the first time by chance and we enjoyed it so much that we chose to return a couple of days later (unusual for us). Sea view, almost unique in the town. Sheltered terrace or interior with big picture windows. We tried 6 different dishes and we recommend any of them. Service friendly and efficient. Today we ordered 3 dishes, we were were asked if we were sharing, and so each dish arrived separately at well-timed intervals. Note this is definitely a restaurant as compared to some of the bar-cafeterias on the main square. Today's lunch: 3 raciones, bread and dips, 4 beers, 2 coffees (plus the usual chupitos) - â¬40, which we thought was great value.

This is a new upgraded restaurant for mass-produced food of much poorer quality than the original restaurant only very recently on this site. The restaurant is a victim of its own success and is the embodiment of the problems a good tripadvisor review can cause.Sadly this has gone from being my favourite restaurant to one that I would never want to return to and can no longer recommend :(Hello Leonardo. The atmosphere in this place was nice and laid back. Food was good and it was really cheap compared to other places if the type we had been to. The owners seemed to know German, which we unfortunately don't, but communication wasn't difficult anyway.Overall it was a nice place, as was Arafo itself. Would definitely go back with pleasure should the opportunity present itself.

This restaurant is situated on a rural property with casitas and arid gardens. Beautiful towering cactus and other plants. The food is traditional Iberia pork, soups, filet. The deserts were amazing. Lemon orange cake, chocolate tort, white chocolate with mint and berries. The building is 350 years old with stone walls and rustic wooden beams. Allow for a full dining experience - the food was paced slowly. Plenty of time for wine and conversation.

Had been visiting Candelaria and wanted a late lunch. New there was a seafront area with lots of restaurants and drove along. Finding parking space a Premium..... but managed to get one and walked back. Had to wait for a table for about 10 minutes, but that was fine. Was kept informed by owner. Decided on just a main course, two men had the wreck fish, and are still talking about it. I had the salad with prawns, delicious, my friend the cod and prawns, equally as tasty. Excellent restaurant, expertly ran.

They don't have a menu so really it's best to just let them recommend something, that's what we did and everything was utterly delicious. We shared their specialty which is a mix of fish and shellfish in a flavoursome broth. Fish was served whole, beautifully fried, with crispy skin and juicy flesh. Great dish. We didn't know what dessert to get so just asked the owner to bring what he likes and ended up with a yummy banana mousse of some sort. Everything was fresh and tasty, there's an ocean view and everyone is really friendly. Highly recommended! Thank you!

This charming restaurant offers a genuine Canarian cuisine of excellent quality and beautifully presented. The personnel is very welcoming and has attention for details. We had dinner here twice in a week and both experiences were remarkable enough for us to warmly recommend tasting a few of this restaurant's dishes. The suggestion menu offers a wide variety of dishes and changes quite regularly, making a return visit even more worthwhile. We pretty much only chose amongst the suggested dishes and were never disappointed, on the contrary. The terrace behind is cosy and delightful.
