Lovely waterside setting, it's a pity it was a blustery February evening.However the interior did not disappoint either, it had great high ceilings, exposed wooden floors and spacious tables.The food was stunning, and the staff were lovely and helpful.

Gezellig restaurant in de binnenstad van Wijk bij Duurstede.Het inmiddels bekende idee van allerlei kleine hapjes is hier op een goede manier uitgevoerd. Veel variatie en verrassende smaken. Voor eenieder wat wils en onze zoon van 5 jaar kon ook goed meeproeven.Bediening correct en vlot.

Het Pakhuis is originally a pub, but is serving food as well, just like an English pub. The interior is nice, a fireplace and lots of old portrait photos. The menu is not extremely extensive, but everyone can find something they like. We ate a round steak, very well prepared, a fish-of-the-day (salmon and sea bass) and spare ribs. Good food, well prepared. It was accompanied with a fresh salad and fries.The wine was nice (merlot). The desserts (merengue and home made brownies) were delicious.The servants (owners) were friendly and polite.

When you want a nice meal the first thing to get right is atmosphere. The space around your table is important so you do not feel crammed in, this dinning room fitted the bill. The restaurant is very well appointed with looks the part. The service was very friendly and we were made to feel at home. The food was exceptional with great detail paid to presentation. The deserts were delicious and made a fitting end to a great meal. They do a fixed price menu which is very good value for what you get. Not to be missed.

Lunchcafe de Graanschuur is located close to the historic windmill adjacent to the Rhine in the center of Wijk bij Duurstede. Great for a coffee or lunch. Excellent service!

Title says it all. Again: basic typical Dutch lunch pub. Nicely decorated, friendly staff, and good for kids. Menu is basic and nothing special. But if you need a typical sandwich " broodje" just come inside and enjoy it. Good selection of beers btw.

We had a most enjoyable dinner with friends at the Restaurant Naast de Poort. The food was good but not memorable. The tables are nicely spaced throughout the restaurant, so a perfect setting for good conversation. The atmosphere and ambiance are very informal. The table next to us brought a dog. It did not bother us, but it surprised us. Service was slow, matching the overall pace of the place. Therefore, good place for an informal dinner.

The Restaurant Klooster offer great dishes. They are prepared with the utmost effort. Service is friendly and attentive. The wines could have been a bit more expressive to my taste however overall it offers a great getaway from your daily business. Really worth the visit

Went here for dinner with a long tine friend. I love the open bakery bsrn ambiance and the creative menu. I had veal cooked to perfection on hazelnutmash and sweet peas. Delicious. And their chocolate varia dessert was to die for!The tables are a bit too small and placed too close to each other, so not a lot of privacy. Service was very good though.
