Weinheim (help·info) is a town in the north west of the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany with 43,000 inhabitants, approximately 15 km (9 mi) north of Heidelberg and 10 km (6 mi) northeast of Mannheim. Together with these cities, it makes up the Rhine-Neckar triangle. It has the nickname "Zwei-Burgen-Stadt", or Two-Castle city ('Burg' means 'fortress'), named after the two fortresses on the hill overlooking the town in the east on the edge of the Odenwald, the Windeck and the Wachenburg. The city of Weinheim with said Wachenburg castle, built by German Student Corps fraternities in the early 1900s, is the location of the annual convention of the Weinheimer Senioren-Convent.

We were looking for a german restaurant and Diebsloch was the closest.Its location is top, just like any café and restaurant at Marktplatz. The deck outside was full, but we got a nice table for 3 inside, staff was friendly through and through.We were satisfied with our Schweinelendenspieà (served w champignon, bratkartoffel and sauce), Schnitzeljagd (Schnitzel in Kinderportion without schnitzel soÃe, and pommes) and Diebesgut (also has pommes, with probably fried chicken?!? Wasn't my dish not so sure). I asked for extra sauce for my pommes, no problem. Sauce came after 1min.Food and service, all in all, great.The only thing that bugs me was my pfälzer Grauburgunder (can't remember the brand name, but they have only 2 options for grauburgunder and only one of them is from Pfalz). Not my thing. Maybe someone else would adore it to death, but to me, it's bad. I had grauburgunder from other pfälzer brands and liked them all, but not this one. Conclusion: would definitely come back, and for sure will take another wine.

Our last night in Weinheim we ate here. The food was really good. It was just VERY expensive!! Not for the regular traveller! If you don't mind a buget, then all is good. Our most expensive dinner of our entire trip.

Als fast Neubürger, haben wir zu sechst zu Mittag hier gespeist, um ein Restaurant, als festes Lokal zu finden.Die positiven Bewertungen hier auf der Website können von uns im vollsten Umfang bestätigt werden.BegrüÃung und Freindlichkeit der Bedienung tadellos. Die Speiseauswahl übersichtlich =10Pkt. Tages-Menü = Top Preis,- Lag.verhältnis. Alle bestellten Gerichte waren lt. Beurteilung meiner Gäste vom Geschmack, von der Menge und für's Augen gelungen = 9Pkt.Fazit: wir kommen wieder und sagen Danke für zwei schöne Stunden bei sehr gutem Wein und sehr geschmackvollen Speisen.

you have to find this place. Somewhere in the Odenwald, Close to Weinheim.Finally when you arrive you do watch "work in Progress": Restaurant, "chambre de Gourmet" and 5 of 11 hotel rooms finished, surroundings under construction. But you can watch the Bisons on one side of the house, the galloways on the other.Mr. Schwarz ( "Schwarzberg" is the Name of the Gourmet restaurant) is known from "Schwarze Hahn" in Deidesheim and his Restaurant within the HDM-Tower in Heidelberg.His Team (directed by a very skilled and experienced chef de cuisine) prepared a great menu: foies gras and eal to start with, followed by tataki form yellowfin tuna - outstanding courses. Before the main (an excellent Galloway Rib Eye with lots of veggies and small feta dumblings) we enjoyed a broth from quail and a poached egg covered by truffles.While all these courses showed up and tasted in *-Quality there is room for improvement when it Comes to the vegetarian Options. The cous cous was OK but the main (veggie products from the Region) was disappointing. Remembering the veggie symphonies presented in Kai3 or composed by Mr. KIng we were far from being satisfied.The wine list shows a large variety of local and euorpean wines (these with a focus on spain). We decided for a white cuvve from Knipser, while the Rib Eye went well with a red wine from central spain.The Service was excellent - and every now and then Mr.Schwarz showed up as well as the chef de cuisine. Great Dining!
