This was an amazing surprise and Dinner experience. Can Highly recommend. The Buffet had such a good variety of Fish Dishes. I had 19 of them but still that was not the Full selection. There were also some Limited Meat choices and Salads and Potatoes.I have seen a Danish Review commenting on the lack choice of White Wine and I can agree a little more choice would be good. We chose the most expensive which was Chablis due to only one other choice.Yes the Restaurant was very busy but my Danish cousin had Booked our Table.I am sure in the Summer months this would have great views across the Bay so if you wanted that I guess you could Book in advance and request this. I noticed that one of the âOwnersâ was going around the Tables sometimes sitting with the Guests which is a nice touch.

Hotel sixtus is located right at the sea and has a very nice decor and ambiance. While the hotel is mostly catering conferences, it still makes for a wonderful relaxing couple or family stay. The food is great, the staff extremely friendly and middelfart is a nice start for several day trips. Kolding and odense are recommended. But if you just want to sit with a book overlooking the sea enjoying tea or coffee with homebaked pie, this is definitely your place as well. Do ask for a room with sea view !

We stopped by for a quick lunch, passing by due to business. We had a quick dish and a coffee which was all really good! Friendly service as well. However while asking for a little chocolate just to round off the lunch, we asked him to choose something for us, as in a piece or two we could share but he came back with 6 chocolate frogs. We thought ok, its a small thing we will have 2 or 3 of them. They were very sweet so we couldnât have more than 3 pieces. When we went to pay and had left the place we noticed that we had been charged 110 Danish crowns for a frog mix or frog collection, canât remember what it was called exactly. 110 DKK!!! He was selling these frogs singularly at the counter for 10 DKK...so we should have eaten like 11 pieces to reach that amount. A real shame, it cost 2 stars on that account...simply not transparent. At least have the decency to mention what you have chosen for us when the prices is that important for chocolate frogs...of low quality too! Sorry but not coming back!Sorry, but we can certainly not agree in your complain, otherwise you had "frogs" that has an value in the shop, and another value in the restaurant, just the same as if yo had bought some other stuff, like wine. Sorry that you had this bad experience, we wish you all the best and a very happy new year

Staying at the Hotel itâs the easy choice, after driving the whole day. The ambiance seemed pretty cold, with Modern furniture.Pretty annoying, that an older waiter was pushing and loudly ordering a young trainee around in front of the restaurant guests.Okay menu - however quite expensive.Scallops:25 minutes wait, however worth it. Very tasty and well presented!Farmers Burger:Waited another 20 minutes. Great Burger with steak slices. However no spice or barbecue sauces?? Such a shame.. ok fries, with sad aioli.Service: Extremely slow on a very quiet evening. Free WiFi.Hello and thank you for your reviewI must say from my personal experience, that 20-30 min. waiting time is very normal in Denmark.I´m not sure what sauces they have in the restaurant, but we have some chilli and other sauces as well, so maybe they have some you wished for, I don´t know if you asked for them. If you did and they didn´t have any you would like, I´m very sorry for that, I hope you understand it´s difficult to satisfy each guest´s aste.I don´t know how the training of a new waitress/waiter was, but I agree it shouldn´t be very apparent to the guests. On the other hand, we all need to learn somehow and it can be difficult sometimes not to loose patience with new employees.BR Hotel Fredericia
