The Poked Yolk

Shopping at a nearby retailer in West Seneca, it was suggested that the Polked Yolk was a good place for breakfast. My friend and I did as suggested and weren't disappointed. This is not a large restaurant but more like a quaint cafe type place. We were able to get a table though. Our server was very nice and returned to fill up coffee cups as needed. I enjoyed a 3 little pigs omelet (sausage, bacon and ham) with home fries. The potatoes could have been a bit hotter for my liking but the meal was very nice. They serve homemade jelly that was good also. The atmosphere was very friendly and everyone seemed to enjoy their various interesting appearing meals. This is not an inexpensive place to eat but I have no complaint. You get what you pay for.

Stopped in for breakfast. The breakfast grilled cheese and home fries were excellent. Good coffee. Great service. Only negative was the parking lot is an unorganized mess. Great location.

A Colleague suggested the Dutch Mill restaurant for a quick business lunch in the village of Lancaster. I have not been to this restaurant in many years, but I understood that there was recently a change of ownership and a great deal of renovation. The inside of the restaurant look totally different than I remembered, but it was comfortable and not too busy for our lunch. We were greeted and taken care of by a super friendly waitress, we ordered our lunches and they came out quickly, and everything was prepared expertly. The prices were reasonable, the service was quick and hospitable, and I really enjoyed our experience there overall. I will definitely be back and let others know it’s a great place to stop in for some delicious diner food as well!
