This Interesting restaurant is part of a cloistered Benedictine convent - it is part of a working farm as well as commercial wine cellar. It's in a stunning setting in what was once a very rural location. It is totally peaceful even though today it is barely at the edge of town. The grounds are extensive & cattle, sheep & pigs are farmed; vegetables are grown & vines are cultivated.The food in the restaurant was totally stupendous - I don't think I've ever eaten lamb of the quality in Europe before - we opted to eat from the special lunch menu which consisted of a delicious pumpkin soup; an intermediate course of fresh salad & our main which was rack of lamb. I wound happily go back again to eat more of this delicious fare.We sat outside on what was a stunning & very warm autumn day.The staff were friendly & very pleasant & efficient.Total cost for 2 people - 70 Swiss Francs - we drank water; no alcohol.

Sue was a patient, friendly kind waitress with good english. Nice and warm place, we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and we were served by a super nice and gentle young chap. We had a nice corner where our dog got water before we got our drinks ;)Good food, honest portions, the cordon bleu were really tasty. Impossible to have dessert after that although we wanted to try two of them!That will be for next time!Thank you DMLDML for the lovely feedback!Honest portions are important for us, so you start next time maybe wit the dessert! Just joking...:) Thank you again and we are looking forward to welcome you again.

We went to Costa Blanca with more than 40 people. There we reserved a large room with "Kegelbahn" (sort of bowling alley) in the basement. From outside, the restaurant doesn't look very nice and exposes a large menu with pictures of their dishes (which is always a bit weird!). But from the inside, it appears quite cozy. Although they claim being a spanish restaurant, they also offer italian and german cuisine on their menu... Once we arrived, there were already canapés and finger food waiting for us which was really nice. The wine was also ok. Then they started with a big buffet of diverse spanish tapas for starters. I have to say that those tapas were really, really good! Afterwards, they served Paella and in the end diverse cakes and tiramisu for dessert. I would like to point out that the service was also great. They were extremely attentive and therefore, we never ran out of food or wine. In all, we spend a very nice evening at Costa Blanca.
