Neither the manager nor his mother speak English. However, they didnât hesitate to call their niece/grand-daughter to help with the translation. And that was actually not necessary, as they composed a delicious plate with all the local specialties we pointed at. And then picked a lovely red wine for us. Why anyone prefers the nearby tourist traps with horrible pizzas (some with French fries on top !!) to this gem is a mystery to me.

We called in here one evening, based on other reviews. We ordered a couple of pizzas and a ravioli.The owner was really welcoming, taking our order to the kitchen with a song which echoed with the fab acoustics in the building.The food came quickly and was absolutely delicious - the best pizza we had so far according to our 15 year old. The ravioli was equally tasty and a generous portion.The only minor disappointment was that there were no desserts available, despite the menu suggesting this would usually be an option. There is a gelateria and also a bakery a couple of doors down so we had to move on for our 2nd course.Overall lovely food, reasonable prices and a friendly welcome.

We went at O'Pignatiello in Castellammare di Stabia by chance and we discovered an excellent trattoria. Close to the city center, the location is nice and cozy. The personnel is kind and warmly serves you, always smiling. But the real positive aspect is the food. We tasted the deliciously fresh octopus salad, the seafood spaghetti and the unforgettable swordfish. The house wine was superb and the cherry cheesecake was above any expectation

Our specialties derived from typical culinary tradition Gragnanese, prepared with ingredients of excellent choice, all served with courtesy in a familiar and collected background in which every customer can feel "at home".

This is a small family run pizzeria in a little road opposite the Hotel Parco in Gragnano. We actually spotted it from our hotel terrace and because the area was sparse on restaurants, we gave it a try.The grandfather cooks pizzas in a lovely wood fired oven whilst the family members join in having their supper in the corner!Be careful when ordering, the pizzas are huge as is every other course we tried. We had enough pizza for a doggy bag to eat next day on the Amalfi coast.Very friendly folks and the pizza was delicious.
