Restauraci jsme navstivili na pozdnejsi obed, po vyletu v Povydri... Je sice pravda, ze je jiz po sezone ( zacatek rijna) a asi nemuzeme cekat takove sluzby jako v hlavni turisticke sezone, ale restaurace je jednim z mala moznych obcerstveni na trase ( ostatni jsou budto zavrena nebo nenabizeji jidlo) + pocasi stale preje a turistu je mnoho ( hospoda byla plna), tak je skoda, ze nevyuziji vice potencial, ktery jiste maji..V dobe nasi navstevy obsluhovaly dve znudene nejspise brigadnice, na uvod nam slecna vyjmenovala asi 8 jidel ( z cca 15i), ktere budto jiz nemaji nebo nevari nebo na ne nemaji suroviny, rikali jsme si, ze radsi by meli jmenovat co maji...Zbylo par smazenyh veci, tzn. o domaci - vsude avizivane- strave se hovorit prilis nedalo. Nezbyvalo nez si dat smazaka a hranolky, hranolky byly nasakle v oleji, prilis nam nechutnali. Bohuzel jsme sedeli i primo u vchodu do kuchyne a videli jsme postup pripravy dalsich jidel, ktery nas trochu vydesil, takze jsme rychle dojedli, dopili a zaplatili..Celkove je skoda, ze restaurace nenabizi kvalitnejsi jidlo a nema milejsi personal, plus narizeni typu ' s kocarkem nesmite na parkety' je usmevne....ale holt neni jina nabidka restauraci v okoli, tak hoste budou vzdy.. my se ale vracet neplanujeme!

poor service - forgetting to bring ordered beer...Pizza bread thickness âextraordinaryâ average of 1mm...But for that money very bad price for perfo...one part burned...Chicken pan again very poor perfo - not very tasty...If this was not cook bad day then only positive about this was pilsner beer...We will not repeat in close future though

Having first seen this place as a tumbledown ruin, which was eventually leveled, we were amazed to see a beautiful timber-built traditional building appear.We then were taken there by friends to eat!!!Good hearty traditional Czech menu, in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.Just what the doctor ordered after a long walk in the hills.THAT was two years ago, we have since returned frequently on our bi-annual-ish visits to Sumava.Long may this continue.

We were looking forward to visit this place as we checked the TripAdvisorâs reviews and restaurantâs web site. We found our table, ordered our meal and we waited. And waited. It took one hour for our food to be ready. We were really pissed off. On the other hand, our dishes were delicious, the waiter did say sorry, he gave us two bottles of beer as apologize and gave us a discount. I have to say I didnât expect something like that, especially in the Czech Republic. How can you be mad at someone who does something like that? I was really surprised. It was a very nice gesture. I would recommend this place to everyone who donât want to eat typical Czech dishes, as the Czech cuisine is mainly heavy and unhealthy. And the restaurant's interior is really nice, by the way.

The food should have been the highlight of our visit, but it was the attentive and friendly service that was absolutely outstanding, considering the standard Czech customer service. The food was indeed excellent. The steak tartar was second to none, the meat was soft as butter. All of the meat dishes were outstanding, and for dessert the chocolate fondant was excellent too. The garden setting is lovely, you are surrounded by vegetables and herbs that they use in the kitchen. There is also a nice playground for kids. Highly recommended.

This place has everything to be great. Wonderful location, nicely reconstructed building, own beer, but a lot of it is wasted by ignorance of staff. There were four waitresses, one great, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, one arrogant and lazy for who everything was a problem and two seasonal, who had no idea. Place is really lovely. Beer good but food average although it could be great. Small details spoil it all. We ordered clean water which was automatically served with lemon, which we hate. Tasty cabbage soup was small and more than half were potatoes. Traditional Czech cabbage potato dumplings with beacon home made , but too salty and cabbage destroyed with vinegar. Beef excellent, but in terribly sweet sauce. Cold chicken served with salad, but where you would expect fried ciabatta or rolls we got Czech Sumava bread.I really had wished this place to be great , but feel pity for the wasted opportunity. You canât get rid of the feeling of provincialism.

I think it would not much work to be good. Baby food in the good standard, Hamburg roast beef with dumpling with very tasty sauce, but with ice-cold vegetables and ham. Warm lentil salad with smoked salmon is not a good choice and the idea of a chef. Desserts are good and diligent staff. It goes better, boys

My family and I visited several restaurants in Kasperske Hory and this one was the best by far. We went there twice during our stay as we loved the food and the service was way better than in the other restaurants in the village. They have swings and slides outside for children which kept mine entertained for the duration.The only downfall is that they haven't got menus in English (German and Czech only) so if you don't speak either of those languages then you will have to chance it :-) ... I'd recommend the restaurant to anyone.
