I have come across an excellent restaurant close to Katowice in Poland. It is elegant, the decoration is original and the place is confortable. But most important is what is in the plates. They are very well presented. It is a selection of different european cookings but most of all, it is exquisite, refined. It is fine food that would merit stars or forks in the guide Michelin or Gault et Millau. It is well worth a visit from the entrees all the way to the deserts and cafes. I wish the chef all the success he deserves.

The interior looked neat, stylish modern, although there were few to appreciate on a Thursday evening as only one table (with 9 guests) was occupied.The starter of asparagus had good strong flavour, to be followed by an equally strong flavoured salmon with acrid-tasting smoked mashed potatoes. Pleasant for the first few bites, but too much to be memorable. Service was OK, and the bill for 9 including coffee came about 1200 PLN.Not bad.

Already at the entrance shines a well equipped bar with premium alcohol, where even the bottom shelf, is top shelf. The food, the ingredients and service leaves nothing to add. Also language here is everything but a barrier.I couldn't recommend SmaQ enough.Dear Sir,I hope that this is just a mistake in writing and the language, however, was not a barrier. For employees, knowledge of foreign languages ââis essential! We are very happy that you appreciate our selection of alcohol, we try to have such a wide range to please even the most demanding tastes in this regard! I have visited this restaurant many time - have eaten there breakfasts (while staying at Courtyard Marriott), had lunches and dinners. Itâs impossible not to visit as it offers stunning panoramic views of Katowice and is a must go for anybody who wants to experience metropolitan ambiance of this city. Each time I visit, I hope something has changed. I wonder: perhaps they will welcome me with the news that they have hired a new Chef, maybe they will change the menu to fit more into the style of the culinary crew, or maybe they will just stop serving food and turn the place into a coffee bar..? Until then, I know that I can expect a very poor quality of food and rather average, inexperienced service. Itâs incredible how bland all the dishes are and how soulless the menu is. There is nothing to remember. A completely forgettable experience if not for the location and amazing views. Hint: luckily you can still visit, skip the food and enjoy their lounge / cocktails area. A glass of whisky or cognac still tastes the same as everywhere else ;) Above all, we would like to thank you for your regular visits on the 27th floor.We are convinced that with each visit you see changes for the better. This is because we listen carefully to the comments of our Guests.Thank you very much for your constructive comments.
