Visited with Family for a Brunch on Sunday. The Bistro had a varied selection of egg, meat, bread selections for brunch. This was complimented by a selection of coffee, teas and other fruit beverages. The selection of eff benedicts were particularly well made and tasty. The specialty marmalades, jams also helped to accent the breads available.Seating was comfortable and well appointed. The best fine dining in Calgary! We had a 7 course dinner and everything was delicious, the service was impeccable and the wine and coffee were a perfect compliment to the meal. My personal favourite was the beef tenderloin! If I could rate this restaurant a 6 out of 5, I would. I have heard their lunch specials are a great deal too!

We had a very early dinner here prior to attending the theatre. Raven, our server, was excellent - she was knowledgeable, attentive and very pleasant and looked after us very well. I had the tomato salad to start along with three Raspberry Point oysters - the salad was amazing! My partner ordered the pouting to start -- way too much and way too rich to finish. I ordered the porchetta main and my partner ordered the Fogo Island cod, both of which were OK. Salted caramel milk chocolate pudding crunch finished off the evening very nicely. One other small gripe: menu a bit lacking in choices.

The restaurant was very loud with the music turned up too high for us. The host/server was very kind and thoughtful and did turn it down. He continued to offer excellent service from the moment he greeted us. We enjoyed an evening with friends feasting on this great place menu. The service was comprehensive, pleasant and informative. A great selection of menu items and excellent wines was offered and enjoyed. Parking was a ways away. Nice selection of cocktails here , especially if you like the old fashioned. Had a cherry smoked old fashioned...was good but have had better smoked cocktails...the smokiness didn't hold long on the glass. The atmosphere is great and the bartender was friendly. Would recommend!

The whole dining experience was superb and its easy to see why Vero Bistro receives such high ratings. This was a very special occasion and I visited the restaurant prior to ask for some specific considerations i.e. seating / timing of courses and they happily obliged. We were welcomed, seated immediately and were well and professionally taken care of through the entire meal. We had the Chef's Tasting - 4 courses- and were highly satisfied with each course. We had a goat cheese salad, Pici Bolognese, the duck and a delicious custard dessert. The food was very fresh and the flavours were incredible. Our server, Jody(?), made excellent recommendations for both food and wine and ensured we were well taken care of throughout the evening by checking with us at appropriate intervals. As well, the chef prepared us an additional dessert as it was a special occasion. Everything about our evening was perfect. The service, food, ambiance was extraordinary and would like to thank the staff for going out of their way to make the evening very special. We will definitely return and highly recommend Vero Bistro Moderne.We are very pleased you had a wonderful evening, and thankyou for choosing us for your special occassion, it is always our pleasure to make the best possible experience for all guests.
