possibly the most innovative and creative chef in SwitzerlandOur stay and especially the dinner at Sens was nothing short of sensational (to say Jeroen Achtien and his Dutch team is possibly the most innovative and creative chef in Switzerland would be an understatement). If you havenât been yet, donât hesitate, GO! Thoughtful, attention to detail and exemplary hospitality. Bravo team Vitznauerhof and team Sens.. We shall return, guaranteed.

While this is a 5 minute walk away from the lake , it was a real treat to stay in this hotel. The room was very comfortable, however there was no air con which was rather disappointing. There was an electric fan which helped the room temperature come down! The room itself was huge, however and really lovely. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was exceptional. Local produce was used and of gourmet standard. Please eat there if you make a booking. We sat in a beautiful garden for our dinner and in the warm balmy heat of an August evening, it was perfect. Breakfast is served in the gardens too with local cheeses and hams and homemade jams and muesli,Parking is easy and is found behind the building. We loved it!!

This restaurant has several theme evenings a year and I recently attended the white truffle evening. The 7 course set menu was absolutely exquisite and included wine paring for CHF169 per person. The only catch is that you still had to buy your truffle for the evening at CHF5.50 per gram. Ouch. Very splashy dinner, but it was finger-licking good. And, as always, the service was phenomenal!
