We have been grabbing take here over the years when visiting and usually not bad for what you are getting (food for quick meal and you do feel like cooking yourself at a reasonable price). Recently we were there and it was just off this time, hopefully they a different cook this night. Overall we have been satisfied with the meals.

I ordered take-out from this establishment on a weekday evening. The order consisted of General Tsoâs Chicken and Chicken with Garlic Sauce. It appears as though the place does mainly take-out. There are a few tables for dining in, but there is really no dining ambience here as the only thing that separates the tables from the kitchen is the counter and cash register. The food however, was delicious, and very reasonably priced. If youâre looking for a quick meal and youâre hungry for Chinese, look no further than this place.

If you want to experience real Chinatown right here in south Florida, head off to the Golden Rice Bowl on the northeast corner of Oakland Park Blvd and 441 in Lauderdale Lakes. This is a tiny little hole in the wall. If your looking for fancy this ain't it. A culturally ethnic area, you will spot an international clientele. When you walk in the door you will find a bar and on the other side you will find chef/owner Kim cooking all sorts of amazing dishes on his large woks. Every dish comes through his talented hands with heart and love. Every vegetable is fresh and there is a wide variety of them. Vegetarians and vegans will not have a shortage of choices here. I order a dish that is not on the menu,,shrimp and vegetable with steamed tofu and shrimp in black bean sauce. To die for. The mapo tofu is the best in the world. He makes his own homemade dumplings and they are delightfully flavorful.Moo Shu pork or chicken with homemade pancakes...curried chicken...and our dear chef has made us so many special delights all on his own. All his creations are healthy fresh and amazing. All standard Chinese is available too like great chicken wings, egg rolls, barbecue ribs, and sweet and sour chicken. And also amazing is the check. You will have enough for four people and then lunch and dinner the next day and it will be somewhere between $30.00 to $40.00 with drinks. (Not a good wine selection so bring your own.) Great take out too.

The food was excellent, with very large servings. They provide knives and folks, so you are able to eat immediately.On both visits we chose a mixture of three meats. My favorites include the crispy pork and roasted duck. The rice is great and I'm looking forward to returning. I can see myself going, on a very regular basis.Two things to note. They do not accept credit cards and there is no seating, to eat your food.

Hong Kong City BBQ features an outstanding menu, wonderful, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Many soups are enough for four. It's always fun to share Chinese. Four of us enjoyed the house wonton soup, followed by Chinese broccoli, eggplant with sliced pork, Peking pork chops, special fried rice, and shrimp in black bean sauce. Terrific!

You cannot get individual soup portions here,rather soups for 4 persons.Prices are reasonable.Duck with mushrooms came with leathery, chewy mushrooms and pak choi.The white rice is good but you cannot have an alternative of noodles.Beef with eggplant was good as was the cantonese beef.There is nothing truly special though, and the ambience is pretty standard.Service was adequate and cheerful.
