Desert Cow Restaurant has the most delicious food in all Jaisalmer. Not only you can eat a very delicious homemade meal, but you can seat in the rooftop with an amazing view over the fort. My husband and I just got back from Cafe The Kuku in Jaisalmer for drinks and early dinner.Everything from the signage through the city, to the meeting and greeting, to the knowledge of the menu, the English spoken and the quality of food, drink and service provided was outstanding.The atmosphere of the view, the rooftop, the decor, the lighting,the furniture and the music gave a fabulous laid back vibe;we could have stayed there for hours.This restaurant has got it spot on - especially for Westerners looking for something other than the traditional Indian offering - i.e alcohol and meat but not necessarily Indian spicy!Wonderful night with owner taking personal control of operations and customer satisfaction to ensure the best service possible.They deserve success and that is coming from a seasoned European hospitality expert!!

We waited 1h and a half for an average meal. We ordered some veg momos and spinach ones, which tastes like they hadn't been cleaned properly. Then we also ordered a lasagna that didn't taste like it. After such a long time waiting, at least we expected a tasty meal that we didn't had. The waiter told us there had been an event and that is why it took so long. It had been nice to know the waiting time in advance though, as we were hungry so we could have choose to go somewhere else.

A very nice rooftop restaurant with an amazing view of Jaisalmer. The staff is so kind and will help you with whatever you need. We stayed at the hostel as well and it was great.
