Bamiyan is far from fancy dining. But it still has a lot going for it: very reasonable prices, quick service with really tasty food, a simple "all you can drink" bar, a menu with lots of pictures and some English. And cheap booze -- only Y100 for "on the rocks" drinks served up at your table at almost any hour of the day. We LOVE Bamiyan and the specialty items on their seasonally-changed menu. It's a chain, very standardized nationwide. But if you're hungry and don't want to work too hard to find food, you can always depend on these restaurants for a tasty, filling meal at decent prices. Oh, and they have a dirt-cheap daily lunch special every day except Sunday.
