Ate at Nothshore Empress Fri 1/25/2019 at 4:45p. Our cost before tip $44.46. Walked from Holiday Inn to restaurant. Very nice décor, excellent service, reasonable prices and good Chinese / Vietnamese food. We would eat here again when in Covington.Details:DECOR: Very artsy and attractive Asian decor. A bit higher end restaurantSEATING: Booth, but tables available. Noted the restaurant went from 80% empty when we got there to totally packed with a waiting list by the time we left.MENU: Good selection of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes with descriptions in readable printSERVICE: Very helpful and attentive. Ordered Take Out and while the Lo Mein & fried rice were pretty good, our crab Rangoon were little puffs of fried wonton with barely a taste of any filling. One was all but empty. So I guess for a quick take out it's ok but there are better places in town.

This is a regular stop for us when in a hurry and don't have much time and don't want to eat at a fast food restaurant. Food and service is good.

What a wonderful little family-run restaurant. The food is authentically Chinese, with no room for doubt. The Szechuan chicken and chicken curry were scrumptious, the shrimp and pork fried rice tasty, and egg rolls yummy. Service is fast and friendly and the aesthetics are relaxing. Ranks up there with Sticky Rice as the two best Asian restaurants on the north shore. We'll definitely return.

Location on a side street to the Walmart. Basic menu items for decent prices. Husband likes more than I do because I feel food was heavy feeling, too greasy. Haven't been in a while but no real changes.
