It is not expected to be found such a nice small restaurant in a hidden alley of Bonn!!! A really nice surprise...Sea food but also meat is served at the place I was with a big group and everything seemed week cooked and all my group enjoy it.The fillet looked amazing as also the entrants of lentils soup... I had the "surprise menu" that had a kalamari first plate and a chicken fillet a SA second ... very well cooked.. Everything nice in a nice atmosphere... in respect to wine we had a German Pinot grizio (!!!!) tasting as bizzar as it sounds!! I am not aware of the price yet I heard it's expensive... I can only recommend it as a nice surprise to the otherwise mediocre restaurants of Bonn ...

Peperoni im Schutzenhaus

My wife and I spent the day in Siegburg in December and could not find a restaurant to our liking. We stumbled upon Peperoni, which was a little off the beaten path. Our visit to the restaurant produced a pleasing dining experience. Peperoni serves both Italian and German food. The salads are fresh and the main courses are large and flavorable. If in Siegburg again, I would return to Peperoni.

This was my second visit here. Both times the food was truly amazing. The bread starter and dips was out of this world - especially the beetroot dip. Followed by an amazing mixed platter i would dine here every night if i lived in Siegburg.Certainly one of my most favorite restaurants when traveling.

Quattro Passi

We visited the restaurant on a saturday evening with 8 persons. The service was miserable as the staff wasn't friendly nor knowledgeable. The wine served tasted awful but their only reply on the complaint was "it's the same wine like ever". The service staff didn't manage to serve the table in a manner you're expecting in a restaurant - they lost cutlery and served the wrong drinks and food to the different tables. At the end of our stay no excuses for the many mixups and mistakes but a discussion about whom to pay the unacceptable wine.Beside this awful service the loudness in the newly furnished restaurant is canteen-like.Amazingly the food was splendid - but this staff is a mess.

We were invited to a birthday party at Forsthaus Telegraph. When planning the route, we came across the very positive reviews, which Forsthaus Telegraph has received online. Our expectations were therefore quite high and we were not disappointed!ServiceTo serve a four course menu plus a delicious "greeting from the kitchen" and drinks timely and stress free is not easy. The team at Forsthaus' Telegraph managed to serve politely and quietly.FoodOur host had a good hand in choosing the menu. The starter was a Tartar from "Matjes" with spring salad and small potato pancakes. Down to earth, Northern and good, but for my taste the potato pancakes were a bit greasy. The Crèmesoup of curry with mango strips was a tasty, well-chosen contrast. For the main course, there was a very tasty fillet of pork with herbs on malt beer sauce and vegetables. The Palatinan Pinot Blanc and the Pinot Noir from the Nahe were good, combining well with the food. When the dessert variety "Forsthaus Telegraph" was served it became very quiet in our room, it was very good. The Forsthaus Telegraph follows the habit of using UHT milk for latte, which unfortunately is widespread in Germany. Not using fresh milk leads to a one point deduction on the rating. However, on a positive note, it should be mentioned that the team was on hand to alternatively prepare coffee with fresh whipped cream.AmbianceThe Forsthaus Telegraph is modern, however it has many rustic features and original features.CleanlinessThe modern toilets and the guest rooms were spotlessly.LocationThe Forsthaus Telegraph lies south of the runways of Cologne-Bonn airport (CGN), on the edge of the military restricted area, in the "Kaiserforst" at Wahner Heide. I did not hear the airport, not even on the outside terrace. The environment is quiet and green. The Forsthaus Telegraph deserves an almost unqualified recommendation.

On a normal Wednesday between Christmas and New Year we reserved at this restaurant for dinner. Reservations turned out to be an absolute necessity to get a table, even on this ordinary day. The dining room is filled with local inhabitants of village and after dining, I understand why. Excellent schnitzel and steaks with fresh salad and a local beer (Kölsch) for astonishing prices. All fresh prepared and important pan baked schnitzels, no deep fried here. Same quality of kids as for adults, our five year old daughter was happy she was served the same quality and look of food. She felt taken serious, like a grownup. Wish I had such a restaurant in my neighborhood. A very good meal against this price (11€ schnitzel with unions, baked potatoes and side salad), count me in for weekly dinner. Well deserved 5 out of 5.

Spending one night close to the airport Köln/Bonn we came to this restaurant after having a look at TA reviews. We enjoyed a good dinner for a correct amount of money spent: aperitif/Hugo,open white and red wine, espresso....with two main dishes and one appetizer for 80 Euros.Amuse-bouche was complimentary and tasted nice: home made bread with an innovative spread. The Argentinian beef with fried onions was delicious as well as the fish fillet:"cabillaud" with tomato risotto and green asparagus. The restaurant is located in a quiet surrounding, no problem to find a parking place.Better call for a reservation to be sure to have a table.Compliments also for the quick and friendly service.
