I had the Rumpsteak (pommern) with pan-fried potatoes. On another day I had the winter cod (Skrei) with red prayed puree. And then I also had rumpsteak vom Taurus Weiderind. The steaks were perfect and the cod perfectly cooked.

We were pleasantly surprised in all respects when we visited this restaurant, which we had chosen just because it was convenient to reach for all of our party. The staff were friendly and attentive, the owner Mr. Held took pride in showing us not only his winechart, but also his six (!) wine cellars and the extra room for whiskey and cognac. He shared his enthusiasm amd took his time to do so.Most of us had a cream of chestnut soup, which was excellent though one of us would have liked even better with a little less salt, and quite appropriate for this season. The main course was game, deer or duck for most of us and was very well prepared, and nicely served. The accompanying wine was a 19 year old Rioja, but the wine chart showed many wines which would make it worth our while coming back just to explore a bit further, the price asked for very old wines was a pleasant surprise. the parking is just around the corner, if your follow your car's navigation instuctions.

Good meat dishes and pasta. This is a sister restaurant to Istanbul and they are doing a good job with the quality and service.

Stayed at The Hagen for just one night whilst visiting our company HQ nearby. We had some customers with us and they stayed also. The hotel is basically a very pleasant bar/restaurant with rooms above and in a separate annnex. The staff are really friendly and layed on a special indoor bbq for our guests in a separate room. The food was excellent as was the company and the service from the staff. We were looked after so very well and wanted for nothing!My room was in the separate annex. It was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed. The room itself was really large with a balcony and floor to ceiling windows. It really was very good. The bathroom was huge too and again spotless. This place was very good indeed and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent too. I would certainly stay again
