I had the opportunity to eat at the Balkanhof restaurant when staying in Duisburg on business.It was very quiet inside, with only about 6 other diners, but being a Tuesday night not surprising. The restaurant was still well staffed with no delays between courses.I chose the schnitzel which was accompanied with a small mountain of fries.There was a salad cart with a huge variety of vegetables, greens, and dressings.The draft Weiss beer was particularly good!

We were looking for a option to get lunch on a Saturday and this was One of the rare places in Duisburg which was open. IT was however worth the visit: great food And good service. Only the boxes of wine in the restaurant were miceplaced.

Italian "restaurante" with style, and a large covered summer terrace which is open from April till October. Nice owners and very well dishes. Only a pitty I found a winebottle lid between the mushrooms. Where people work they can make mistakes, but a free coffee or wine (which we did not get) would have been a nice compensation:)

I tiny little restaurant in a historic red brick building with cosy (pub alike) and historic interieur. We had a perfect potato meal, really something to have more often. The servant was friendly with a nice sense of humor and good information about the history of the restaurant right at his fingertips. Was a lot of fun!!

I like the Currybar near the Casino. The meals are very good, it is perfect for fast meals, the Service waiters are friendly and obliging.I like to have a Little lunch there.

This restaurant offers pleasant environment and serves a solid but unimaginative meal.ANyway it is very difficult fo find any better in Duisburg. Certainly I have not found a better alternative except for a good Doener or sausage at the railwaystation.

Just went for a coffee on a chilly winter afternoon. Very welcoming place with lovely staff. The wood oven in full use - brilliant! Excellent views on the river Rhine. We just had a coffee which was very good.

Brauhaus Webster brews its own beer. Pale, blond, dark and weissen bier.We tried 3 of them and they were just good.Thereâs a restaurant too and we decided to eat some food too.That seemd a good choice!The 2 different kinds of Wienerschnitzel (Holtsteiner and Malz) were good. Fresh veggies and french fries included. Also sauces.The Holsteiner schwein (440 gr!) was very nice, same veggies and fries on the plate.Service was attentive and pleasant, the same goed for the price: 63 euro for the 3 of us!Thank you for your review.

7 Euros for a standard glass of Merlot of which you can buy a bottle for not more than 5. Need I say more? The food is alright, though just a tad bit above average, location is good (for Duisburg). The service lacks professionalism (the waitresses didn't know about wi-fi; also, one of my colleagues was actually yelled at for complaining about the very late arrival of the food). Wouldn't go there again unless they reworked their service AND the wine selection/pricing.
