The municipality comprises the towns of Beernem proper, Oedelem and Sint-Joris. On January 1, 2006 Beernem had a total population of 14,642, mostly in Beernem proper and Oedelem. The total area is 71.68 km² which gives a population density of 204 inhabitants per km².

,Cosy, romantic restaurant in the city center of Bruges. Situated nearby the famous brewery " De Halve Maan ". We serve daily fresh products, local dishes, fish and meat dishes. Kitchen open from 12PM until 9PM. We re-opened this restaurant 4th of july 20

After walking around the city we stopped for here for dinner. The mussels were amazing. The sauce of cream, tomato and celery was very good. Portions are very large so you can share if not too hungry. Needless to say the three on my party each ordered their own and easily devoured the entire pot.

This is a very small place so you have to make a reservation to be sure they have a table for you. It's located beside the famous canals of Bruges in a charming building with a charming and cozy interior. Very friendly people. They have also a beautiful terrace at the back next to the canals. And the food is delicious, also the cocktails are great! Price/quality!

Weâve had a great meal here and a relaxing evening. Service was good too. Got offered a little soup as a pre starter. Good choice of food on the menu. Hot, cold starters. Kangaroo was on the menu for mains. I tried it and it was amazing. Good flavour and so soft.

Lovely meal after a day wandering. The starters were actually the highlight for us. Cheese croquettes, sweetbread croquettes and chefs special mushrooms were absolutely spectacular. Mains were also yum (hot potato, stew and tartar) but not quite as outstanding as the starters. Friendly staff and overall great evening. Definitely recommend adding this restaurant to your trip to Brugges.

As a family of 4 adults we ate in this cosy little family owned/run restaurant. The menu and wine list offer plenty of choice. I had the swordfish steak which was cooked to perfection and completely delicious, makes my mouth water thinking about it! The restaurateurs were friendly and attentive, they gave us free desserts - a tiramisu and a creme caramel, which were scrumptious! The decor is interesting and the restaurant comfortable. Another beautiful van de Valk hotel with familiar quality. Location:This hotel is well accessible from highways. We stayed two nights for our trip to Brugge. It was very convenient; 10-15 min driving.Parking: It was fully occupied on the two evenings when we used it.
