Having read the reviews here, I booked this for our last night in Salzburg.I dislike writing negative reviews, especially when they are negative about staff, but I feel like very few of the other reviews covered the full tasting menu and wine matching â¬250+ per person.If we had just had a glass or bottle of wine, steaks and deserts I am sure it would have been a nice.Unfortunately we chose the tasting menu and it was not even close to being worthwhile.To give you context, we (my wife, son and me) eat out 365 days a year all over the world and in the last 10 years have lost track of the Michelin meals we have had, somewhere between 1000 and 2000.The young man serving as our waiter seemed nice enough, but unfortunately was woefully undertrained - even for a casual dinner. When he poured the first glass of red wine for my wife he splashed it all over the table and us, as he had finished the bottle. No apology or any acknowledgement he just walked off. We thought he went to find another bottle to finish pouring the glass which was way under and something for us to wipe off the drops of wine, but no.Not once across the wine pairing did he manage to pour without dripping on the table and down the side of the glass. When the Pinot was oxidized, he just walked off with my glass and didnât return.Then the food. Each course was nice, nothing special, but nice. Nothing stood out at all unfortunately - pretty much every course was a piece of fish or meat, small vegetable pieces, some gel and a sauce poured on the side of it at the table - after two of them we were bored, but the same thing just kept coming. Balance in the dishes was hit and miss - many of them being too creamy/rich, without any acidic balance.There are Michelin and near-Michelin restaurants all over the world at much better prices for much better food.(I thought about writing to management, but experience says nothing will be done at all, so would rather just warn you and if people start leaving honest reviews, then management will have to start listening).Dear family!Thank you for your feedback. I had the monkfish. The combination of flavors was just amazing. Everyone at our table agreed - one of the best dishes ever. All our meals were excellent. The service was way above average compared to so many other restaurants; they were timely, attentive and professional.

Restaurant and surrounding are impressive and give some ancient splendour atmosphere to the diner experience. Food and wine were excellent with a very friendly and professional staff, ready for advice, help and a smile. Reservation is a must, on a weekly day the restaurant was full and newcomers were taken the free seats at once.

I didn't expect so much from a hotel restaurant but this one changed my mind. Good tasty and well executed meals. They also had good wine list by bottle. Since I was not familiar with Austrian wine, I asked the waiter for the recommendation and he gave one red wine which was excellent and good value. Friendly and helpful staffs. for several years of absence i again visited with my wife the"SchloÃwirt"and both of us have chosen it without any hesitation to"our restaurant"!the area,the spacious garden,the extremly nice service and the various choice of delicious austrian regional and international dishes prepared by first class cooking staff and offered from courteous,attentive servants who comply with any desires-all this makes the stay at Hotel-Restaurant SchloÃwirt unic and so we visited this excellent place another 4 times in one week!For sure we'll come back as soon as possible!

We came for a quick dinner before driving back to Germany,we have ordered Halibut fish that was served with half a Lobster and pasta that was deliciousMy wife enjoyed the prawns that were served with vegetables.The wine list is a bit small and a bit overpriced.The food was done in excellent as well skilled way.We definitely recommend

This was our favorite restaurant in Salzburg! The food, waitstaff and views were amazing! They had a variety of foods (some austrian, and others different types.) The prices were also very reasonable! Definitely recommend visiting here if you're in Salzburg!

We were a group of 40 guests and chose this as a meeting point for our first night at the hotel. We enjoyed a good mean at the Einkehr. The food is solid, plentiful and unpretentious. Service was very good here, which wasn't easy for them with such a large group.Good atmosphere.

My husband and I tried to eat dinner here on Monday, March 4th at 7:15 pm. We were asked if we had a reservation, and then rudely turned away. We saw that one dining room was completely empty. I'm guessing they were short of kitchen or wait staff help.Dear Bucherma, I am very sorry that you didn´t get a table at our Restaurant. I am not sure, but probably we served dinner in our smaller Dining room that night and this may be was full.May be you will visit us again - with Reservation in Advance please - during your next visit to Salzburg.All the best, Sylvia

We had a great meal at Bierheuriger and the atmosphere was very comfortable and fun. They have other choices than just authenic Austrian food and for a great price. Our waitress, Eva, was very friendly and nice. One of the better restaurants that we tried during our stay.
