Tried for the first time today at lunch, based on recommendation from Susan at Orangeville Visitor Information Centre and we were VERY pleased!Seating was quick and easy, service was fast and friendly, got some good recommendations from our server and EVERYTHING was great! We were going to share a roasted pork loin sandwich and bowl of soup (everything, including bread, is prepared in house) but the kitchen plated it so we each got 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 bowl of soup; very nice touch. Sweet potato fries were to die for as was the dipping sauce (chipotle??).Carrot cake for dessert was the topper! All of this and a nice selection of craft beers; what more do I need!

Lovely surroundings, windows could be cleaner to appreciate. Interior is nice enough, but could use a cleaning. Service was very friendly and attentive. The biggest flaw is the food. Sub-par. We started with cheese plate - small portions of cheese and terribly stale crackers that tasted like mothballs. Store bought bread basket. Early bird Steak 6 oz was so cheap and thin and over cooked. The veg is bitter. The lamb was tough and fatty and dense and flavourless. The prime rib lacks flavour and very fatty. The lemon tart was fantastic! The highlight. The chocolate cake was dry, crumbly stale and lacking flavour. The grande mariner cheesecake was dry and tasteless and bland. The wine was nice but a tiny bit pricey.

My husband and I visited the patio with our little Grandson. A highchair was provided after we chose a shaded table outside. Every server that passed our table was great with our Grandson. The food was delicious. They have three choices of non-alcoholic beer and one was on tap. Excellent! Nothing but rave reviews for this pub from the patio to the service to the food and drink. Our new go-to patio.

It is obvious with the latest set f reviews that the quality of food and service has drastically reduced since a change in ownership. Instead of trying to play the race card, perhaps the owners need to read the reviews closely, as there is a common theme running throughout all of them, and it has nothing to do with race.if the race card is the issue what can we say? why do you keep asking who the owner is?Why can't people come and have a good time and enjoy the food without judging the owners for race, religion, background? There will be cultural differnces. Do you only praise the mainstream or rich minorities and insult the owners who are immigrants who work very hard? If this was a problem why couldnt you shout before they lost their home to buy the restaurant? Reviews are malicious, biased and filled with hatred. The food is high standard served by minority who cannot compete with mainstream or rich minority since the rich are treated differently cant you tell with the reviews and why blame the owners when staff who are arrogant walk to destroy the business so they can take the clientele after painting the owners as bad and now customers follow the staff who walked out and walk out ? So if this was owned by mainstream the staff would not have walked out since they cant use the race card can they

As a person who suffers from anaphylaxis, dining isn’t always easy. Having said that, no restaurant should ever make you feel ashamed or ridiculed for something with which you can’t control. Insert Peter Cellar’s Pub. I am writing my review as my overall experience was horrific, left me in tears and needs to be shared in order to be addressed. When we arrived, we were greeted by an obnoxious bar keep who thought his insults were charming. When advising of my allergy, he referred to me as “Special Needs.” This isn’t even the worst of it! He asked me if I was lying about my allergy and that the whole kitchen would need to change if I was being serious. After mentioning that I was carrying an epi-pen and that my dairy allergy should not be taken lightly, he continued asking if I would die. This must have been repeated at least 6 times, enough to warrant stares by other patrons at this tiny establishment. An hour passed to which the manager came to our table, her words: “We’re not a medical facility and we will not take the risk to serve you here.” Not only did it take this restaurant over an hour to tell me I couldn’t eat here, that same bar-keep, once again repeated, “You’ll die here!” “I don’t know how you ever eat out.” It was horrible. Everyone was staring. This man insulted me and wouldn’t stop with his dying jokes. It was the worst experience I have ever endured. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. The manager and staff at this establishment need a lesson in customer service and respect. Thank goodness that there are places in this area that shine like The Globe. They took our group of 6 and turned our night around. Our server was welcoming and accommodating and added so many nice touches to our experience. Thank you to The Globe! We will certainly be back!

The food was superb and the service excellent. There were four of us and we had appetizers, drinks, entrees and desert and the bill was less than $200, so I see this as very reasonable, given the food quality. Hopefully we'll return to try the pizza before we leave the area! Highly recommended!Good morning JVBV,Thank you so very much for such kind words - it means so much to us when people take the time to write about a great experience. We will certainly pass this along to our chefs and serving staff. We definitely hope to see you again when you’re back in town! Had my Daughter's Communion here. Booking everything with Brett for 20 people was seamless and worry free! The available menu options, the affordable prices, the private space, the décor, the customer service; this restaurant not only does great food, but does everything above exceptionally well. The server was incredibly attentive and never left us wanting. The food, absolutely outstanding-the steaks were all cooked to perfection. There really is no "CONS" to this place. They really do everything so well. This will be definitely be our go-to for any event.
