We enjoyed our visit to Yuniâs, we were well fed and happy in the bright cheery (and cozy) dining area. Coffee and hot tea arrived quickly, and our breakfasts were heaping and yummy! Country fried steak w gravy, choc pancakes, egg skillets, all scrumptious. When back in town, weâll return to Yuniâs.

On a recent trip biking through Wisconsin, we stopped at this little cafe for a bit of breakfast. It was an amazing find! Everything on the menu was special - nothing standard about it. If you like aromatic, varied flavors, healthy, fresh food and great coffees and teas (there is even a tea menu!), this is the place for you. If you are a meat and potato sort of diner - this is probably not the place for you. I had a breakfast bagel and it was chock full of good things and was indeed the best breakfast bagel I have ever found. My friend had the quiche and loved it as well. Service was excellent, the shop small, cozy and nice (especially on a dreary, rainy day!). The Chai Tea Lattes where excellent. If I lived anywhere near this cafe, I would be there every day!

I visited this place with some girl friends, who all said this place supposedly had the best breakfast in Racine. I'm sorry but I must of went on their worst day ever. The place its self is pretty cute. I wanted to love it. First when you get there, if it's busy you just stand around until some one acknowledges you... no system of seating WHATSOEVER.. Just standing around at the front door. NO hostess, the poor waitresses who were already over extended have to deal with seating... and the place is full. But no one was eating... Finally we got seated. I asked for some unsweet tea for my drink. The waitress give me a mason jar filled with what looked like a Bloody Mary... I attempted to send it back.. and she said" yes I thought the same thing.. but the bartender said is was "how they made the tea".. it was very cloudy, and very strong.. and very awful... that went back. I got coffee... THAT was good. Finally we ordered our food. and waited.... and waited... people who got there after us were already done eating... we asked the waitress...she looked confused... finally she told us our order never went in due to technical issues with the iPad system they had.... thats fine but do you not check on your customers?? Finally she took our order again and we got food... it was ok.. I ordered an omelette.. not the worst I ever had.. not the best.. I ordered a blueberry pancake.. it took up the whole plate... it was very dry... no taste... Very disappointed in the whole experience. Also... during all of this.. .at least 10 plates of food fell off the staging/heated shelves in the kitchen full of just cooked food waiting for the waitresses to bring out... it was just an over all bad day. They did comp us for the whole thing... But BEWARE, if this place is busy.. go somewhere else.. maybe give them a try when not so busy...

I stopped in here for the first time today & was really impressed. A friend & I met for lunch and we want to try someplace new so we thought we'd give the Shanty a try, I had a large bowl of the butternut squash soup and I was not disappointed. My friend had the beer cheese soup and enjoyed it also. I plan on going back to check out the sandwiches!

I was doing a tour at SC Johnson and then had another tour at Wingspread, but with little time in between the two so I decided on this place for lunch. The lunch was to go and it was very fast and delicious and a great price. Staff were excellent. Nothing to complain about, it was all good stuff.
