We called in for a drink and snack lunch whilst on a cycle ride. The shop seemed nice, but the staff were grumpy and unwelcoming. Service was poor. The rolls were all of soft white fluffy bread which was a shame. There was a "cafe" upstairs, but no-one mentioned this, we found it for ourselves. It was nothing much and someone was in one corner, noisily sorting out freezer stock. The place has huge potential, but customer service is lacking.
I had to laugh at a previous review "Not value for money" £3.25 for a freshly prepared sandwich and £2 for a Cappuccino. This little gem on a village doorstep should be truly appreciated. Perhaps the non value for money clientele would be better off foraging in the local woodland for free. Having eaten here over ten times the food and service is excellent for a small local catering cafe. Keep up the good work

This is the sort of place that when you wake up on a Saturday/Sunday morning, whatever the weather and jump in the car or on the bike and then consider your options... âthe yard cafeâ.I have been here for meetings during the week too!Easy to get to from the A5.I just love the quirky, chilled and charming environment - perfect.Menu is great and the food is lovely.Great coffee!Friendly team so for me itâs a place of sanctuary for a short period.Lovely wood burner glowing when itâs chilly.Donât forget to take a look around the old buildings and visit the other little businessâs.

Traditional tea room set in the forties, with a war time feel. Dripping on toast or bread. Home made cakes. Savouries. Soup. So much more, so why not drop in and enjoy a moment with us......

The ambience of previous visits had disappeared, along with the selection of craft-food items and the walls were stripped bare of the art work, which had previously adorned them. The outdoor seating had someone been placed to be less attractive too.We still might have eaten there had it not been for the flies which were buzzing around everything and it wasn't only the flies who couldn't see a commercial, electrical fly zapper anywhere.

Manor Farm Shop is based on a traditional working farm that produces potatoes, asparagus, pumpkins, soft fruit and rare breed meat. The tearoom offers a wide selection of home cooked food and drinks, all made using local or home grown produce where ever p
Came here for lunch with visiting family. The food menu was lovely, all home grown , local produce. The mint minced lamb pie was particularly delicious and the puddings were fantastic. My only criticism was that they had run out of a lot of the items we ordered so we had to substitute and it got quite confusing. However the staff were very good. Highly recommend this for eating out. The farm shop is wonderful but not so sure about the interiors shop , seems a little out of place and the staff are not exactly helpful or forthcoming in there. They would be better off showcasing local crafters or artists, more in keeping with the spirit of the farm shop in my humble opinion.
