We have a lunch at this restaurant while we got up the hill via the traditional steam train from Brienz. The weather was good and there were many tourists up this spot. We have a normal lunch but it was pretty good inside. In fact, some of the people used to sit in the open area to view the beautiful scenery under the sun. Both the food and view were wonderful

We three had the same thing, a heart-shaped yogurt dish with a little bit of biscuit on the bottom and kiwi, peach and strawberry on top. There were also johannesberg on the top.This was a very tasty treat, and the shop is full of baking. If you find yourself in Brienz, this shop is on the main street and worth a visit!

Very friendly staff. Cozy and familiar Suisse environment. Some tipical food but also some grill dishes and very tasty asian and vegetarian dishes with an original twist. Great flavours and presentation too. I absolutely recommend a visit for a relaxed meal with friends.

Worth trying the huge "signature dish" meringue here. It's your classic local Swiss cafe- styling from the 70s but the history of the meringue gives it a nice feel. Adjoining bakery for all your healthy purchases!

Fully renovated now, the place lost a lot of it's charm. Food and drinks are self-serve only. I had the smallest and most expensive sausage salad of my life... View gorgeous as ever!Dear GuestThanks a lot for your critical review. Well, it would not have been possible to offer high quality in the old buildings and it is the first time someone complains about the loss of charm ... Am a little surprised about your critisicm concerning pricing, to be honest. Our sausage salad is made with an entire sausage from the local butcher which is the size a sausage salad "Wurstsalat" has everywhere. If you had sausage and cheese salad, we use high quality local alpine cheese in addition. Am not sure why you found that expensive, as we are in a comparable price range to our regional competition - using locally sourced ingredients of the best quality. I would have appreciated if you would have told me, guest satisfaction has my highest priority.
