We saw a small feature article in a travel magazine and went to this place for a quick lunch after visiting the nearby Naitai Farm. It looked modern and nicely designed simple interior was very pleasant. Visually speaking, their baked products were beautiful and creative, and mouth-watering. I wanted to try them all! Just to satisfy our hungry stomach, we sat at a small counter beside the cashier and had their steak meal set and a hamburger first. A little bit too salty but meat was very tender and flavourful. We should have seated at the back of the shop since the counter area was quite busy and felt exposed. Well, there weren't any seats available at the back and we knew it wasn't a fancy restaurant, so enjoyed the tasty food very much anyway. Then, we did some shopping for their baked goods for ourselves and friends. Price was good and they had a great selection of savoury and sweet breads. We were quite full from the lunch and had those we bought later on the day. And actually we were quite disappointed. The lunch was good and being in the middle of Tokachi, Hokkaido, the farmland known for it's quality and freshness, we were hoping to taste the flavour of a quality Hokkaido wheat flour, rich butter and the smell of yeast, however not much flavour or texture from any of the breads. Rather, bland and all were slightly dry (and all were in the plastic bags for only a few hours). They all looked great but not much more, unfortunately. Reading all the other reviews, maybe we went on a bad day, or chose wrong ones? I would go back for the steak or the burger, though.
