Gammarth (Tunisian Arabic: ڨمرت gāmmart) is a town on the Mediterranean Sea in the Tunis Governorate of Tunisia, located some 15 to 20 kilometres north of Tunis, adjacent to La Marsa. It is an upmarket seaside resort, known for its expensive hotels and shops. Gammarth began as a small fishing village but following independence from France it blossomed into a resort from the 1950s. Tourism now provides the backbone to the local economy. Gammarth has many five-star hotels and restaurants and also contains many lavish white villas and coves in the vicinity. Notable villas include Abou Nawas Gammarth and Les Dunes.

If shopping in the mall, I suggest you to grab a lunch at Monaco Club. Excellent paninis and other light courses. Prices are very reasonable.

I really like and admire GOURMANDISE, a Tunisian brand that normally means high standards and quality... I was however very disappointed this morning as I came here for a late breakfast with two business colleagues:1. The place is infested with flies. There must have been at least twodozen flies around our table2. The Wi-Fi connection did not work3. The menu it was given to us was old, dirty and worn... not very appetizing...As I mentioned the fly infestation to the staff, they laughed and shrugged their shouldersVery disappointing

Un endroit à la fois calme et chaleureux où l'on peut déguster un très bon café colombien préparé de différentes manières. Une carte de boissons originales, chaudes ou froides, qui complète l'offre explique le succès de ce lieu fréquenté aussi bien par des étudiants venus travailler en toute sérénité que par une clientèle cosmopolite à la recherche d'une véritable expérience autour du café.Le patron est colombien, un gage d'authenticité...

My husband and I came for a coffee and crape The waiter was so pushy and rude. Brought us a bill even before we finished the meal. Came back in 3 min asking if we paid. Then she stood and waited until we paid ! No one else ( We were the only European clients at that time ; the rest all Tunisian clients ) had that kind of service.
