We were in Victoria for only a few short hours and wanted something other than a completely touristy place. We asked a hotel bell hop where the locals get a drink and he directed us to Bartholomew's. It was a great experience. We had good friendly service and enjoyed drinks on the outdoor patio. The beer selection is extensive and authentic. It seemed like the kind of comfortable pub that you'd want to hang out in! I wish we'd had more time.

I was skeptical about doing tea but we did anyway. It was pretty expensive starting at $82 per person. We upgraded our tea choices to rare teas. Although it was tiny finger sandwiches and desserts it was amazing. I can stop thinking about the cucumber sandwich and the cream that came with the score. I will definitely come back.Thank you for the wonderful review, Andrew! We are so delighted to hear that you enjoyed Afternoon Tea with us. We hope to see you back again in the near future. Got off the hop on, hop off bus to have lunch here. Not disappointed. Really good range of items on menu including pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, salads, soup and range of main meals. Good prices. Friendly and helpful server. Order taken promptly and food delivered quickly. Tasty and well balanced. Bathrooms not as clean as I would have expected. Popular place and also linked with the cafe next door (Vis a vis). Would recommend.
