Could not get in to other restaurant/pubs so came here.A simple traditional pub with a good choice of food.Service was quick and friendly and the food was good and what you you would expect from such a place.Only a very short walk from the Main Street. Good value for money.

Markie Dans is a pub for everyone - serves food all day, over 100 malt whiskys, cocktails, shots, real ale, pool, sport, child and dog friendly, beer garden
Great pub just on the edges of the town centre, good choice of beers and a pretty good food menu. The thing thats stands out is the atmosphere, really friendly and welcoming.

What a little gem of a place this is. Friendly, cheerful service. Top quality.Good prices - i e (1) 6 superb dressed oysters on ice, with lemon - £5.70 (95p each), an absolute steal! (2) Equally good sandwiches, if anything crammed too much with top notch prawns and salmon - £3.60 each. It's just shame we only found the OSH on the last day of our holiday in delightful Oban!Highly recommended.

Ee-usk is a modern glass building sitting right by the water in the busy harbour of Oban.We believe in serving impeccably fresh local seafood cooked simply. We are unable to accommodate children under 12 years of age for dinner.
We came here on the strength of the TA reviews, and are so glad we did. The reviewer who claimed they had eaten the best ever mussels here was not exaggerating. The mussels we were served were the sweetest, softest, most melt-in-your-mouth buttery mollusks ever to have been pried from a black shell! And the king scallops? The chef had cooked them perfectly, with a light caramelized crust on the outside and yet still soft and moist in the centre. The Trio of Salmon? Just try it. A true salmon-loverâs delight. Iâm tempted to move to Ivan just so I can have this place as my local restaurant!

We are a Cafe providing food for people with different dietary requirements, Veggie, Vegan, DF,GF and very allergy aware. As the owner I understand as I am DF and allergic to certain foods and know how difficult it is to eat out.
Had lunch here. Their food is either vegan or vegetarian. We had a cheese sandwich, very tasty and afterwards a carrot cake that was delish. Very small friendly place, only had seating for about 20. Off the main thoroughfare of Obanâs George street. Very environmentally aware. The toilet uses the water from wash hand basin to flush the toilet. Enjoyed our visit

Very popular spot, we arrived at opening (5:30) as we didn't have a reservation, along with several others. Seated immediately, very nice room, interesting menu. My wife had the skink soup (think seafood chowder but more interesting) and the halibut in saffron cream sauce. I had the soup of the day, an excellent mushroom soup, and beautifully cooked hake over vermicelli in crab broth. Everything was excellent. Service was professional but very friendly, especially after she learned we were Canadian and were from a place she had visited. :-) Not inexpensive but fairly priced for what you received and for the overall experience.

I can't praise Drew and Fiona enough for the welcome, ambience, hosting, beautiful food they sorted out for my Mum's 86th Birthday! Our lovely hosts put so much into this exclusive experience. The family were truly WOWED! The seafood was totally amazing - such a beautiful diverse spread. Drew also gave us the background to each dish; the ethics involved witht he preparation; the 'How To Guide' on tackling various crustaceans and how to use the tools; but the VEGAN OPTIONS were also divine. Special creations done with so much care and thought - they were truly delicious. Corn Fritters; lovely veggie rosti with delicious dipping sauce - and gorgeous pudding. We didn't feel like second class citizens at all! The beautiful home-baked bread; amazing lemon posset; an incredible range of fruit sorbets ...I could go on! Thank you both so much! It was wonderful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This charming cafe specialises in produce from Argyll and it is excellent. We had delicious toasties made with bread from Argyll bakery which was very different from the run of the mill supermarket bread. There was chilled beers from Loch Fyne Brewery supplied with chilled glasses, mouth watering sandwiches and a range of delicious cheeses to buy along with Wee Island milk and icecream. Also a lovely range of gifts with a great selection of knitting kits from Colonsay. Definitely a must if visiting Oban.Thank you for taking the time to revise us so comprehensively. It is great when people appreciate what we are trying to do. Hope you can come again soon.
